The feature is the add ons like spoilers and bumpers affect the speed and traction of the car... go to 3:35 to see the graph... like to save 15 minutes
Essentially, think of it this way: Lower the numbers = higher top speed BUT lower cornering speed Higher the numbers = lower top speed BUT higher cornering speed Just pause at either 7:27 or 8:01 for the graphs - don't need to watch rest of vid
You might wanna take note of 13:29 as well. I think this is true because I am noticing it as well. I swapped my wings with higher downforce values to the lowest ones on my R88, tested it around Lap It Up and got the almost same lap times as with the higher downforce ones (about a few tenths/hundredths of a second apart).
GreenManCZ the video only talks about front and rear wings and yes, he states that these have no effect in races. However, I don’t remember him talking about other modifications. If he did, I apologise.
Jack Herrmann what are you on about? How was I mad? And no I’m not just learning about aerodynamics I was just saying that these are the only 2 cars where aerodynamics actually apply
They are like 90s f1 cars. They didn’t have those rectangular button covered wheels. I rly wish they could go faster tho cuz I’m so disappointed that the top sped w boost is 160. Also annoying they don’t have DRS for the straights. I do however love the old designs. They have the classic Marlboro style design and if u color it right u can make ur car look almost exactly like sennas car from the 90s
One thing to consider is that although picking higher traction options might be preferrable, losing one of those high traction parts will throw the balance off the rails, as the remaining parr on the other end will essentially hijack control over the machine.
I got the pr4 when it came out and I noticed this immediately but the strange thing is when I have the best wings on it, I would hit like 113 max but if I crash the car or hit it with a atomatizer and brake all Of the body of, I was hitting at least 130 but it handled poorly so if ur racing someone in it in tight areas don’t crash but the second u get to a highway break everything of the car and u will have at least 20 to 24 mph extra👌
Fabbe_r ok first off 5mph is a big difference, and can give you a couple tenths on every straight and certain high speed sections, which on certain tracks could be a second or so a lap... but the other thing is that it was a 10mph difference so it could really matter but would be track dependent. More corners with short straights and you’d obviously want just about all the downforce you can get vs a track with long straights and really slow tight hairpins where aero wouldn’t do much but just slow you down on the long straights then you want as little drag as possible.
The one good thing about him stretching his videos out is I get an ad before the video starts I pause the ad I check the comments and I hop off the video
I have my pr4 set to max traction using the boost to make up for the speed loss but since it doesn't matter in races it doesn't really matter 😁 can't out run a missile in freemode LOL
It's the same with the Schwartzer when you lower it by shooting the wheels, It drifts the best with standard body modifications no aero/mechanical grip changes, if you add parts like spoilers and roll cage etc it give it more downforce/mechanical grip and wont drift as good, To the point where it will spin the wheels in 2nd gear with nothing but if you add aero parts it will barely spin 1st gear, But the game doesn't mention this and even myself for the longest time(over 5+years) didn't know this and was driving a sub par vehicle, I was so surprised at how different it handled when i removed all the body modifications and only added power upgrades haha
I bought the most expensive set of bumper and spoilers on the PR4 and I definitely like the traction on the streets rather than top speed cause traveling on highways in the city are rare but my PR4 goes 117 mph and still acts like it’s krazy glued to the road...
The thing is these cosmetic modifications in performance cars are actually functional in terms of aerodynamics etc and just cosmetic, so this is pretty realistic
I would go with the speed because it’s only used for races so I would be able to beat people in races in game because it’s not a car to be driven around so I won’t even use it in game, I’ll only use it in races.
@@jojovloges8776 i dont think its that good if you go full speed i had way better luck having more traction and placed higher in races without spinning out lol

Bruh these aren’t the only cars where “the bodywork you put on it changes the performance.” Literally any car: the bigger the spoiler, the more downforce and therefore traction. The heavier the car, (like if u put a tire on the back of the stirling gt) the slower it goes cuz it’s heavier

Less drag=more speed
Less drag=Less aerogrip

Rockstar Games, the only company where a racing car's last gear speed up of.. 5mph.

Wow the Maxwell vagner buggy is faster than F1 cars howw

If your spoiler falls off you also lose a good amount of traction.

If the spoiler is completely destroyed/removed you’ll go 125mph

10mph faster doesn't make a change like traction in a race.

Where did you find that costume?
It actually does happen on other vehicles, it's just not very noticeable.
