OMG!!!! Thank you so much for bringing this absolutely timeless piece back to me. It was about the mid 90's in Brooklyn, NY, and i was about 19 years old when this remix came out and it was my ABSOLUTE favorite song by Mokenstef. I played it countless times. Fast forward to 2023 and hearing this song is so nostalgic. This song is just as impactful to me as it was back then and makes me think of a coworker that i am secretly in love with. I think it's time to confess my true feelings to her. Thank you!! :)
I wondered why I loved that Patrice Rushen song after I first heard it several years ago. It's because it reminded me of this song and that Junior Mafia song featuring Aaliyah that sampled it too.
Grand Puba doesn't get the credit he deserves for changing not only the fashion trend , but his lyrical delivery . Salute to the under appreciated G.O.A.T. 0f the early 90's
They did Destiny's Child's "No No No" like that.... a few weeks in, Part 2 dropped with the Wyclef remix... niggas lost they mind and forgot about the ballad version, just like Clef said in the video.... lol
As a man who stepped away from the sista’s for some years because I got tired of the attitudes, the drama etc that a lot of our women have(not all but enough). I tried to fight it but there is just something that our women have that other races don’t, aside from what can seem to be a pain to deal with at times. That thing is power. They exude so many things that define what a real a woman is which is why/let’s be 100. Other races try to copy it, even a black woman’s body. Example, just watching these sistas in how they walk, sing, dance. The facial expressions in saying certain things. It just comes so natural with our women and damn is it sexy. Added to hairstyles, how ya’ll dress. As I said, I tried to fight it for years but not too long ago came to the conclusion. I just love my black women. Peace and love people, ✌🏾.
