#Frieza #DBZ #WhyFriezaIsTheBestVillainInDragonBall #Anime
Frieza scared me when I was young. He was one of the first villains that intimidated me, just like how he intimidated the heroes.
I wanted to be like frieza when I was young
When I was like 8 I didnt know what anime was so when I saw DBZ on Adult Swim I thought that Frieza was a Mewtwo ripoff. Now that I am into anime I know that frieza was a thing waaayyyy before Mewtwo.
Right?
Cell: (sees Mew flying) Is that #$%^ing Frieza?!
It be like that sometimes!!!🤣🤣🤣
Frieza >>>>>>>>>>> Mewtwo
I totally agree. No other villain rivaled the intimidation levels Frieza achieved. As you said it truly felt dark. And yet he was also hilarious too. Great overall character
I've been saying for years that Frieza was the height of DBZ. Thanks for confirming this, Mystic.
It's just his personal opinion you know that right ?
@@BinoFelixNinoNarcPeppino
I'm just saying that I agree with him. You know that, right?
My favorite villain will always be Cell, but its because of his character that I like him. But I will agree, Frieza will always be the greatest villain produced in Dragon Ball. Cell isn't inherently evil, he just does evil things to get what he wants and all he cares about is power and fighting a worthy opponent. Frieza is the epitome of Evil. Not some villain with doubts about being evil, not a villain you want to feel bad or relate to. He's a selfish, arrogant, and powerful being that aims to rule all and destroy all in his way. He was wildly intimidating since the start. We know he's powerful, but even our imagination of how powerful he can be is wildly underestimated. I really wish they would have given Cooler his own arc and not just a movie. He could have been the next step toward Goku's power with his final form. Imagine if he would have brought that level of invasion to Earth as Frieza did to Namek? Wasted potential.
I believe doing evil things to get what you want is one of the definitions of being evil. Of course, we would say that Cell wasn't portrayed as being sadistic in the same manner as Frieza. Cell had an actual purpose for everything he did. Absorbing humans? He did it to increase his energy levels to be a competent enough threat for the Androids whom he knew were very powerful. Everything staked on his one goal of becoming Perfect. He needed to absorb the Androids in order to do so. The Androids were far more powerful than him at one point. No way, would he would be able to take them on as soon as he arrived from the Future. He needed to bide his time, absorb energy from humans, and grow stronger. Beating up SS1 Gohan? Cell, having the saiyan cells in him, was intrigued by Gohan's supposed bluff of being able to kill Cell if his rage was awakened. Cell beat on Gohan to release that rage and bring out his full potential. Cell wanted a challenge and he beat on Gohan and forced him watch his friends suffer, in order to bring out his potential. Now, let's look at Frieza. He has Vegeta by the ropes. Vegeta knows he is clearly outclassed and has been beaten. What does Frieza do? He continues to beat on a man who cannot even defend himself anymore. It's very different when one refuses to defend oneself and when one can no longer defend oneself. Cell was certainly evil, no doubt about it. He just had an actual purpose, besides torture, for doing what he was doing.
*ALWAYS HAS BEEN*
I would like to say that it doesn't matter about the strength but there is something in frieza that makes him scary, he is the first villain to actually get the villany vibe and even Akira toriyama said that frieza is his fears....
As a kid Namek arc was always the scariest for me, he just had that scarry aura, the scene there frieza would fly past Z fighters the first time, would give gosebumbps for me, in my opinion one of the best villains.
It's as simple as you started with...Frieza was the actual ruler of the entire universe just think about it no one in the entire universe could stood against him that's how strong and intermediating he was....he was the final boss of DBZ literally before they thought to do more seasons Frieza was the great finale
Yessir. That gets over looked a lot. They decided to continue the series and backseat Goku Which is why Gohan defeated cell and not Goku. They wanted to make Gohan the main protag which is why the buu arc is focused around Gohan. But Goku was just so popular that they feared audiences would loose interest and stop watching if the put him in the backseat.
@@roniporter3924 yeah for real which is why the continued with the series and Goku as the protagonist... And ofcourse Frieza is still there with them
Just throwing this out there: When Goku was in the pod healing on Frieza's spaceship and Frieza transformed to 3rd form, Goku said he didn't know if he could beat frieza after sensing his power. Granted Goku hadn't received the zenkai boost from healing all the way back from the Ginyu fight nor did he know anything about Zenkai boosts but it says a lot about Frieza that even Goku was unsure of himself while Frieza was in 3rd form. And I know that's anime only but most people have never read one chapter of DragonBall seeing how the anime is what exposed most western audiences to manga/anime in the first place
It isn't anime-only. That's explicitly stated in the manga too.
Not really that relevant though considering Goku's theoretical max prior to the Zenkai was a battle power of 900,000 with Kaioken x10, still far below even 2nd form Freeza's initial power. It's also incorrect to say he knew nothing of Zenkai boosts as he makes it very apparent though both him abusing them in his gravity training and even telling Vegeta he should be able to take Jheese 1V1 after having healed from his injuries against Reacoom. Goku simply didn't believe his Zenkai from the battle with Ginyu would be so great.
That being said, Frieza himself is one of the most wicked and despicable characters in all of the series, Frieza seems to have be made with the intention of being as hated and despicable as possible. which is especially notable when you consider the two largest threats after him, Cell and Majin Buu, were literally made to be evil, and yet Frieza manages to be as cruel and heartless , if not more, then they are. Frieza is a sadistic, depraved tyrannical genocidal dictator and tyrant who loves to inflict pain and suffering on others (children included), and while most villains usually have some form of he continuously refuses to be redeemed is also Ungrateful Bastard even when given mercy And unlike irredeemable main villains like King Piccolo, Cell and Super Buu, he doesn't even have the excuse of being born evil. He's this in-universe, as practically everyone who knows about him despises him in fact This become more interesting to note since Frieza is everything Zamasu claimed evil and repulsive of mortals frieza represented everything that Zamasu hate about mortals
frieza is the most evil enemy he is literally the dbz version of the devil. imagine if he never stopped training from the bardock to when he faced goku. I don't think anyone could beat him
Space hitler
Frieza is to Goku and Dragon Ball but the Joker is the batman. The whole show and dynamic wouldn't be the same without that particular villain. They can manipulate some of the other villains, and are usually the center cause of things.
This doesn't need a video..its a known fact
Cell comes at a close second though.........
Nope, he's number 1
Cell is BETTER THAN FRIEZA.
@@SWyrick366 Cell is like a wacky version of Frieza lmao Frieza > King Piccolo > Buu > Cell
Tbh beerus is the number one villain of dragon ball...I don't care if he isn't considered as a villain or not...but then comes broly then frieza then zamasu the buu and then cell...
@@stoner63reflex65 incorrect
Frieza will always be my favorite dragon ball villain of all time. He wasn’t created or an evil god, just an evil alien who chose to be a tyrant and trained to get stronger like his archenemy Goku.
I agree the fight on namek was legendary frieza was not only a good villain but a good space villain.
I'd say Cell and Frieza are perhaps tied for best villain, but Frieza pulls ahead because while Cell's method of killing it far worse than Frieza's he tones it down after swallowing the androids. Frieza however, doesn't just resign himself to blow away his victims, he gores them, dismembers them, drowns them, beats them, shoots them, and other things that I'm probably forgetting all while doing it slowly and making sure to enjoy it, he'll even stop or keep you from dying too soon to make sure it's as slow and painful as possible.
I mean...if I’m honest, Golden Freeza made him a worse character instead of better imo. I don’t mind the idea that he never trained a day in his life. But only four months of training to get to that level? It’s just ridiculously absurd. Especially since he didn’t have anyone even close to his own level to train against? I just think that’s...pretty dumb.
I like Cell more BECAUSE he had to work for his power. He had to use his cunning and tactical mind to outwit the Z Fighters. He knows exactly what buttons to push to get what he wants. That’s what makes him a far more interesting villain for me.
Yep, while Freezy-pop is my favorite baddy, that 4 month thing was silly. I could've lived with him training say, 1 and a half or 2 years (Maybe in a place similar to Room of Spirit and Time) or maybe 1 year if he found himself a suitable teacher (Dunno who) but 4 months by himself with no previous training experience or guidance is silly. The prodigy aspect is fine, I mean him being born as strong as he was and being a mutant variant of his race with immense potential sort of makes sense and explains his laziness never mastering his power (Hell he could've been born stronger than he was on Namek, since like with Gohan, doing nothing with one's power causes it to atrophy)
@@dreadrath Yeah, that pretty much sums up my feelings on it. Freeza's a pretty cool villain. From personality to design, it's hard to argue much wrong with him. If he's not number 1, he's probably number 2. xD
Same, that's also why i prefer cooler to frieza since he actually trained for his 5th form and respects working for strength in general, whereas frieza feels like he should be entitled to his power without having to work at all.
@@stoner63reflex65 Now that's also a good point. Frieza really didn't have to work much at all, even for his power boost. Still, I guess it could be worse, like he could've just wished for ultimate power.
I think you guys might be missing the point, he was never a respectable fighter and he never will be. He was given a ridiculous power increase on purpose, hinting more at the fact that he thinks he’s entitled to his power even if he’s not. That’s what makes him a villain, that’s what makes people want him to lose to the heroes, and that’s what makes a good love to hate style villain
The argument I've always had is, yes, Cell is a superior threat than Frieza, as he possesses all of Frieza's ability and unique advantages while also possessing those of the Saiyans, humans and Piccolo. If the two trained unrelentlessly, Cell would leave Frieza behind for that reason. So, Cell has the potential to always be the deadlier in terms of power, durability, indestructibility, etc. But Cell also possesses the weaknesses of the aforementioned characters, namely Saiyan pride, but moreover the bottom line is while Cell possesses all of Frieza's measurable, he doesn't have Frieza's distinct personality. Frieza's character is vastly superior. He is cunning, cold, cruel, darkly hilarious, wrathful, menacing, unassuming, yet shows depth of character. Cell is a weird mashup of personalities, with Goku and Vegeta's seemingly being most dominant. That makes him, for all his great power, far less interesting and compelling. Cell was scariest the less perfect he was. When he was weaker, he had to be cunning, predatory, an ambush killer. As Perfect Cell, he is arrogant and overly confident. His ego costs him in ways Frieza's wouldn't. Not to say Frieza hasn't lost via his pride before, but he has learned from it. Cell wouldn't.
When I think about anime villains Frieza comes to my mind
The boo arc is better than the Frieza arc but Frieza has always been my favorite Villian.
Hated cell
Nah fam. The Entire Namek/Frieza arc is better than the Buu arc. The pacing especially.
Tbh he might be one of the best in fiction
Buu is much scarier to me. Kid Buu especially is like trying to fight a tornado or earthquake. His unpredictability and lack of reason make him frightening.
F is strong because the plot is a boring reason he's the best. Give him credit though, his character development since Ressur😮ection F has made him a more dangerous villain.
Frieza is the best villain in dragon ball. Period.
The thing about cell that just wasn't ever used is the fact that since he has frieza and sayian cells if he trained and if he fought to almost death and recovered he'd be by far the strongest. Period. He'd be able to do what goku and frieza do as far as powering up but even better
Frieza and Goku battle is the best arc fm❤
I’m caught between frieza or cell being the best villain.
He stole the arc untill the end we always wanted to see what are his moves as kids
And then the Granolah arc happened and Frieza pulled up with s'up bitches and proceeded to execute the arc final boss and the arc villian and then he one shot both goku and vegeta and just refused to elaborate besides saying he found his own time chamber and left*
I heavily agree. I mean he's got cool moves and kick ass lines what's not to hate?
Majin buu is an AWFUL villain. I have no idea what people see in him. He is dumb, lacks any substance, lacks depth, just regenerates over and over again (so boring and uncreative). Frieza is just better in every way imaginable, honestly you cannot even compare those two.
I like Cell better but that’s my opinion
I keep telling my friends that frieze is the goat in DragonBall,But they say Majin buu!
1:15 no it was majin buu
I argee with you that Frieza is the best villain
Give me your most lukewarm take.
Frieza is the best DBZ villain.
Well... "Even a Super Saiyan Goku couldn't defeat him." isn't accurate. (Don't get me wrong, I 100% agree that Freeza is the best Z villain.) It's more "Even Goku as a Super Saiyan couldn't bring himself to kill him."
That's only explaining why he is the strongest
Cell
Hey why does he look like mewtwo
U mean why Mewtwo looks like him since Frieza came out first
Mewtwo looks like freiza
I think Zamasu/Goku Black is a good 2nd. The fanboy in me wants to see Frieza square off against black
Well Frieza destroys Black now with his new form.
Goku Black for me.
Im not going to lie I thought frieza was female
I think that cell is the best dragon ball villian
Cell is the worst villian
Frieza fell off 🥱
Frieza HAS NEVER AND NEVER WILL KILL GOKU, Cell has, Cell is better than Frieza.
Goku allowed that to happen on purpose, you know.
No
Lol. Cell only "killed" Goku because Gohan was being a dumb ass who refused to kill off Cell when he had the power to do so and decided to keep playing around with him, causing him to spit out #18, revert back to his Semi Perfect form and get pissed enough to try to blow up the whole planet causing Goku to need to take him to King Kai's planet for him to blow up there with Goku. In that regard Cell didn't kill Goku at all, Goku sacrificed himself.
Nah, cell is #1
No
Don’t get me wrong I like cells games and all, but cell needed to power up by absorbing the androids. Frieza didn’t have to try since the beginning.
@@broken75.20 yes
@@stoner63reflex65Nope
Frieza was space hitler
The bitchh Frieza was a trans. I swear 😂. Turns into a man in 3 form, with the long head. That’s a whole female
This was the best saga ever !! Fuckk all the others
