Love the format of quick overviews like this. But they would be 1000x better if you have 1 image for each of what the game looks like setup.
Thanks for the review Tom! We're really glad you enjoyed our Lil' game (Lil' Guys 7:16). It means a lot to a small-fry, upstart like ourselves to get that sweet, and frankly really cool looking, seal of approval!
It's official! Tom HATES Unmatched Adventures!
‘Sky Rockets…’
Yeah, no one could resist that!
8:25 Thank you for introducing our game "Oh! Hey! Crosswalk"!! Please try other ones of Q's games!!
Surprised by your rating of the glade. I didn’t find it difficult to play at all. Now I’m wondering which of us played it wrong 😂
I picked up the Lil’ Guys game because I was drawn to the theme and artwork. Gotta say it does not disappoint! Glad to see that it’s one of the highest ranking games on this video.
There are soooo many games out there. I don’t even know how they make money
Honestly it's beyond overwhelming now. Who has the time, space, and money for this many games? I try to find the gems but with all these games it's getting harder and harder. I don't have the bandwidth to sift through 100s of games a month.
I get the sense that a lot of people would rather show off their collection than play, and have more money than sense.
@chessthecat Why is it important to me to find reviewers I generally agree with. Zee Garcia is probably closest to my tastes on the dice tower. Mike and Tom are close seconds. Boardgameco and board game hangover and the dice tower are my favorite channels for this stuff
A lot of them probably make very little money, if any. The evergreens (Catan, Wingspan, etc) are likely the only ones that are making the big bucks.
Smaller/medium designers don't make much money really. Most of them keep their regular job, so basically that's why.
This is a fun series
This came up on my feed. After watching it, I realized how little I watch Dice Tower videos now. I used to check their website a couple times a week and look at the reviews chart to then watch reviews. But now that the website updated and the chart was removed (with ratings, publisher, etc.), I rarely watch this stuff anymore. I still like The Dice Tower! Maybe videos like this one will get to watching more reviews. Thank you Tom!
Every Monday they have a video called “week in review” where they list all the reviews they did the previous week, and give links to them. Sounds like it might help you like the chart you used.
I like the intro music :)
Will we get a Septima review? or a The Grand Carnival: On The Road Review?
Loving the series Tom, enjoy a tall glass of water after it lol
Tom in a different video: "Thousands of games come out every year. I just can't review them all."
Tom in this video: "Hold my beer."
With the only 2/10 being lights out racing, I’m going to need a full, rundown, stat! :)
You and Dan king have blob party high reviews! I think he placed it as his party game of the year. I’m sold. Gonna try :)
I really like this format! although i like the first one better where you were showing the boxes. Some gameplay stills would be appreciated as well. It helps me to kind of get a feel for the game. But solid video as always!
The madman! Tom Vasel.
Unition is definitely like Star Realms. I backed it, it played well, and I love the art.
Showing a picture of the game setup in between would be a nice addition for the next time, so that you can visualize the game better.
That thumbnail is sure to haunt my nightmares
I bet Tom's going to regret these in a year when he gets to lookback for it
I bet not.
What part? The scores? The video style? The comments?
@@DavidCastillo630 The part where he has to include 41 games from a year ago in one video
This video is begging for timestamps.

There they are. Let me know if any are off, I compiled while watching so I might be a second early or late on them.
Also, if Dice Tower wants me to delete the comment, just let me know. Figured it would be useful.
@@jokerES2
god bless
@@jokerES2you should out this as a reply to the video, not as a reply to someone else. People might not see it otherwise.
@@Logaan777 I don't like posting timestamps to the top level, because it means people might skip around in the video and give the video lower watch time (and by doing that the algorithm may deprioritize). If the Dice Tower would like to include it, they're welcome to, but I'm not going to take money out of someone's pocket.
And Tom Vassel wins pole position in the Dice Tower 500 speed trials! Fastest reviewer ever!
You ought to do these and call them “Fast Five” as many reviews in 5 min, could make it a game, two each have a timer 2 min 30 seconds give a review and it tosses back to the other person, back and the other persons timer counts down when you hit the big red button..who ever gets most games properly reviewed in 230 wins the round…everyone can take on Tom and at years end see what Tom’s record is.
Really clearing out the backlog! Next one is 127 Reviews in 4 Minutes!
I think we adopt ‘hexons,’ it’s a much cooler word. ❤
I'm just waiting for the Lights Out Racing review.
Very cool
We love Cabanga!
… afternoon delight.
UNO QUARTO IS GOOD TOM VASEL
Dice tower 🔝
I like this format. The 2 hour videos are way too much for me.
They put out almost no videos that are two hours long.
Must be time to clean out the backlog
I thought a seal of approval required a 7.5
Seal of Approval has always been 7, 7.5, and 8.
As with movies, so many bad choices lately. Just with the picture on the box, I probably would have never bought 95% of these games.
Sticking your tongue out without KISS make up on, is not a good look.
You're right, Tom needs to put on KISS makeup
I got Tales to Amaze, because I don't have enough cooperative games in my collection. Played it cooperatively twice and was pretty bored throughout. The game for my is just a by the numbers coop game lacking deep and fun player decisions.
love the format but the scoring doesn't make sense to me
"just not a good game - 5/10"
"people will find it too difficult to play - 4/10"
I don't want to see your tongue. Cool video otherwise!
Flamecraft isn't fun.
I've been living in Japan for over 20 years and played games by Japanese game designers. They suck.
Stick with European and American game designers. Japanese VIDEO games? Awesome, of course.
It would be better with a picture of the game set-up, this way your explanation doesn't really mean much. Also besides from being a gimic this is not useful. I prefer to have 7 quick game reviews instead of 40 in 13 minutes. I thought it was useful at the end of the year just to give a quick opinion for people considering it as a gift. This video makes no sense 😊
