- This ride has been a longtime coming and it did not disappoint. I have been wanting to demo a Tenere 700 for well over a year now. This bike was one of the models I was considering before I purchased the Transalp. If you are in the market for a mid weight adventure bike the Yamaha Tenere 700 is one of the best. If you are near Nova Scotia, be sure to visit the folks at Shore Cycle just outside of Mahone Bay they have a wide selection. Yes, it was at Raleigh Motorplex in Moncton, I had missed the BMW ride as I was working, but the next Thursday was the Yamaha ride and then it got rained out.
Owned one for a year or so. You're right...they're tall...and top heavy. Rode the Cabot trail on knobbies on my T7...what a ride.

Too bad your demo day was rained out. Was it being held at Rallye Motoplex & Marine? They have some great bikes there.

How are you enjoying the transalp? Have you had it loaded for touring or just hanging out local?
I have liked the TA so far. There are a couple things I am not fond of. For example the traction control is terrible, I find it much too intrusive. Over all it is a fantastic all around bike for the money. I have not had it loaded up for a trip yet, but that is coming, There will be a video on it. Thanks for the comment.
