    This is incredible progress!!!
    2 things I would think about if I were you:
    1. Add a pressure plate for ipex connectors so that they do not accidentally fall out.
    2. Install a low-profile fan

    You will be famous! As will the OpenIPC team!
    This has made DJI OBSOLETE, I have held off digital for years, not to feed them a single cent. Now, you can make an entire quad copter with GPL licensed code. Using the AM32 ESC firmware and this! Great job! And Thank you for this!

    You and the OpenIPC team have done incredible work, Mario! Now that anyone can just get an AIO, I think a significant barrier has been removed from adoption. A FOSS video link, can really change things like ELRS did with control links!

      After 4 shifts in a row I entered home and found the Mario AIO. I had to create a video in the next 5-6 hours without knowing anything about the camera lol! I saw the whole video only once before I upload it, so that bloody auto-keyboard of my iPhone messed it up! I wanted to type “expansion port” lol! Cheers mate!😊🍻

      Depending on the antennas you have on the ground station you can reach more than 100km. The output TX power is 32dbm max. That’s more than 1200mWatts! Cheers mate!😊🍻

      There are some videos with open ipc freestyle, but its just dvr and they didnt say anythink about it, somethink like comparisom... And they are just small channels, somethink like me😂 with dvr😂

      This is the best and most advanced open source FPV hardware so far. I also think that the heatsink is too big so just remove it or use a smaller one. Cheers mate!😊🍻

      I think the fan will be optional if the heatsink is exposed to airflow, ie. while you're flying. Maybe Mario can do some thermal tests for us.

      I thought the cooling fan is great - maybe not for a drone but for a surface vehicle or something where there isn’t enough air flow to cool but you still want digital.

      The cooling fan is only for the internal WiFi module. If you use an external WiFi module you can remove completely the heatsink.

    its good to see brother , how about latency and is there any way we can get video feed on the goggles ? other than hdmi option , directly ? or else are launching any specific goggles for them ??

      The latency is 25-35ms depending on which goggles you use. I have already posted a video search in the community section. I am using HDO goggles with the VRX, I have a video link in the moment I turn on the VRX. Check it out. We are developing OpenIPC goggles but I can’t release any more information. Other FPV companies are also working on their goggles. Cheers mate!😊🍻

    Great work on this! I am thinking of switching from my analog setup on my fixed wing fleet. I have an Eachine LCD monitor I connect to my transmitter. Is there an equivalent setup to receive signal from this rig? BTW - I did setup OpenHD and had it running a while ago, but found it too bulky for use.

      If you set it on the minimum TX power and take off relatively quickly after you plug the battery you may remove the heatsink completely. Cheers mate!😊🍻

      We don’t support these kind of cameras. For that you can use the WFB-ng firmware which is tested on cameras with HDMI out port and works great. Cheers mate!😊🍻

    Looks pretty high quality. Is there any estimations on the price, or any rough estimates you could give us maybe? Also even tho I feel like I got the general idea (assuming lower pcb in the stack is for rf stuff i.e. wifi card and top pcb in the stack for SoC etc.) I think a sort of "tare down" would be a cool video. Finally a small side note, I have a trouble regarding the telegram group is there anyone you could forward me to to resolve it by any chance ':D Anyways sorry for the long comment, great work keep it up and good luck in all of this, cheers.

    Awesome ! But the fan is so huge , is this aio fit to drone ? Because seems the fan take to much space, replace to heatsink seems better. And please provide another socket cable from vtx to fc so no need soldering in fc side.

      You can replace the heatsink although it fit perfectly in a 5” quadcopter. I have tested it today. Cables that you mentioned are already sold in the market. Cheers mate!😊🍻

    Lol, this vid got recommended to me by the algorithm while browsing RUclips at 2am. I've no clue on what I'm looking at. I guess it’s a cam for an fpv drone? What is so special about this cam and why is it called mario? I'm so confused. I don’t even own an fpv drone... Guess it’s time to go to bed. But I have to say: it looks pretty neat!

    Dear Mario! What air side wifi adapter has the highest power for long range and working without overheating on a 2 hours flight? I have a plan to fly 80 km far with 5 turn helical on the plane pointing to the ground station. Wezly could do 100 km with analog 5.8, do you think it would also possible with Openipc? Thx!

    Hi Mario, thanks for your great work.
    Could you please explain me, if I want to use OpenIPC, that as I understand uses wifi and in the same time I want to use raspberry pi for executing complicated navigation scenarios - could they work somehow by the same wifi connection?
    in other words how to make openIPC connection for video and raspberry pi for remote control/navigation at the same time (if I want to execute scenarios via pymavlink or mavSDK or MSP?)

    Is there a Firmware Option that allows to reduce the output Power to make it Legal in the EU?

    YEESH... it's freakin huge though. :( Definitely not competing with any commercial digital setups yet. It's a good start, but not ready for drones and planes (unless they are massive). It's a cool project but still much too large to be practical. I have entire FPV drones that weigh less than that camera system.

    Do you have a good suggestion for which radio module to use with the Radxa 3W? 200Mw 1W 2W? Which type do you use?

      For long range I use AWUS036ACH but the ASUS AC56 is also a good option. Both are excellent receivers. You could use smaller receivers for short range or RTL8812eu modules. Cheers mate!😊🍻

    So when you buy this you have to set it up why not configured already from factory would be easier for newbies to use all this setting up you not talking not explaining what todo will put alot of new pilots off me for one😂

      No need to do the drone.key step. You can just use the default key on both Radxa Zero 3w and the Mario AIO. It’s very straightforward. I just wanted to show that you can use your private keys for extra security if anyone needs. Cheers mate!😊🍻

      You'll need googles with HDMI input and a VTX like Radxa Zero 3W (7:36)

    Why not place the FC connector and the camera connector on the same side? It would be more convenient for connecting on the quadcopters, as the VTX is usually located behind the FC and the camera is at the front.

      Because there’s no room for both MIPI and the FC connector in only one side of the board. That’s why we included a much longer cable for the MIPI camera so that it will easily reach any quadcopter frame. Cheers mate!😊🍻

      @@mariofpv Such location of these connectors will eliminate the "wrapping" of wires around the unit, making assembly much neater - you really should think about this for future designs. Great job anyway!
