After being totally ignored for his Marathi language politics by the people of Goa, Mr Velingkar chose Goencho saib as a new issue to stay in lime light. But his move will be rejected by Goans in general. There after Like a frog he will have no option but to go in hibernation. Fanatics has no place in India let alone Goa.

@Spanda Vibration oh. Really. Do u think those hindus who were killed were your ancestors ?. Goan Christians are direct descendants of hindus who were targeted by the Portuguese. Most of the hindus today are migrants who take advantage of their hindu identity to relate with our ancestors history. Only some goan hindus remain till this day. Coz Portuguese function changed during 18th century, they weren't harsh and religious minded as they first were. Due to the industrial revolution they weren't as religious minded as they first arrived. They became civilized and brought marathi workers to work for them. That's why u can see goan Christians settled in then bombay (now mumbai) which was gifted to British by Portuguese. Portuguese nearly eliminated or converted 98% of goan hindus by 19th century. Where do u think these hindus came from during early 1900s ?. They were trade slaves brought by Portuguese who stayed here illegaly due to British imposed taxes. That's why in 1909 goan Christian population was 80%. The fact is that most 80% hindus currently living in goa are not even goan. That's (from wiki) Due to mass emigration of people (mainly Goan Catholics) from Goa, as well as mass immigration from mainland India, since 1961, the Ethnic, Religious and Cultural Demographics of Goa State have been severely altered. This exchange of population has made the natives a virtual minority in their homeland.
