How Mexicans actually make eggs (Recipe for 2 people): *3 Tomatoes *1 Quarter of a white onion *1 Serrano Pepper (When not available, use a Jalapeño) * 2-3 Eggs Chop the onion, the tomatoes and the pepper. In a non-stick pan, cook the onions with olive oil, wait 1 minute. Add the pepper, cook for another minute. Add the tomatoes, cook for another minute. In a separate plate, scramble the eggs and season. (Some people like to scramble inside the pan, its your choice though). Pour everything into the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes and you're done.

I’m Mexican and I never seen this FOOD LMAO
Well, it's fusion so there's that. It still looks good regardless.
it’s a mexican inspired dish, why is this so hard to understand
I love how his videos start with him cooking...no introduction or anything...like that's just so you know... professional nd intimidating at d same time
How Mexicans actually make eggs (Recipe for 2 people):
*3 Tomatoes
*1 Quarter of a white onion
*1 Serrano Pepper (When not available, use a Jalapeño)
* 2-3 Eggs
Chop the onion, the tomatoes and the pepper.
I concur. These are real mexican eggs. That's how I make them too
you forgot salt to taste
That's more like it!

Critics : And what kind of tomatoes did you use ?
Gordon : Canned
Critics : *stares at Gordon*
Gordon : JUST EAT IT YOU STUPID BLOODY DONKEY !!!
Critics : Yes sir Gordon........
Yeah there are some things canned or frozen that almost all chefs use all the time, and one of them is canned tomatoes. They are literally just tomatoes but they develop a stronger tomato flavour being canned so in this case they are perfect!
Yes Chef!!!!!
Heard Chef!!!!
Not even remotely funny

Gordon: Table spoon of olive oil

Is that gordan Ramsey using CANNED TOMATOES
Canned tomatoes are one of the few foods that are superior to the fresh version.
CANNED BREAD
Heintzchel Canned Beans too
Lmao Right!!😂😂
@Jayden Calderon yeah, canned tomatoes full with preservatives which destrys the very sense of a fresh tomatoe.

Huge thanks!!! I’ve been trying to find out who is the chef cooking authentic Mexican food, and you just named him!

Tex mex is a copy of mex.

Chili meets Chilaquiles meets Huevos Rancheros type of dish.

Mr. Ramsay perhaps you ought to spend time in Mexico the way Rick Bayless does.
YES!
Agreed! He takes time to learn how to cook dishes and puts his spin on it while keeping it rather authentic, mostly.
Raul Torres Bravo It’s funny he’s Scottish but makes French inspired food English inspired food Italian inspired food German inspired food but is soon as he makes Mexican inspired food all the Mexicans get riled up and pissed off just an angry culture🤷🏼♂️

I can be classified as Mexican, and in my hole life I had never seen anyone cooking this, I've tried and I can say that I love it.
its an horrible recipe, everything goes well until he add the beans, the beans are served separately and you can add cream to them, the tortillas are served separately and the secret is that they need to be served hot and soft, you can accompany the recipe with avocado
@@regiooo I would think the same if it wasn't for the cummins, they really make a difference
I would not call it horrible I am sure the flavors go well together but from that to calling it classical Mexican….
Remember everyone to luxuriate your beans in the sauce
Len D hahahahahahahahahaha
My mom would smack me if I attempted to cook with canned beans or tomatoes.
Where is the Mexican cheese?!
Why would she smack you?
I'd do this with some cotija, no problem. But I some Mexican soft cheeses are probably harder to get in the UK. I'd use canned beans and tomatoes if the alternative was not trying it at all! My mama wants me to eat, and canned beans and tomatoes are an easy staple for me to keep around!
why would she smack you for not cooking perfectly?
They’re similar to chilaquiles... You fry the tortillas as tortilla chips and placing them like nachos, topped with the sauce, eggs, and cheese.. yummm!!!
Jaque Marro same they’re SO GOOD 😊
Canned tomatoes is a no-go in Mexico 😂😂
Gordon`s the type of guy to use olive oil on olive oil.
Still using a camera from like 2003 lol
just zoomed in too much
This was probably shot somewhere around that time. A lot of the content on this channel is from 2000-2007
Chromatic aberration was much more common in older camcorders - you typically don't see it as much in detachable lenses, and modern camcorders don't have it as much. So it's possible they just never got new ones, since it's present in just about all of these videos.
It's good old memories
Its been zoomed in to stop copyright claims.
I was just watching Kitchen Nightmares and you upload... Sweet. ❤️❤️
I'm guessing he's never been in Mexico, my mother would die again IF she sees me using canned tomatoes and canned beans. Montgomery Cheddar, come on, I thought being one of the tops chefs in the world, could use real Mexican ingredients correctly. Very, very, very far from a Mexican brunch. The only real Mexican is the music.
Exacto!!
he’s been to Mexico.
Despite what people think, Gordon travels around the world to get inspired for his dishes.
So I don’t mind him twisting the dishes of mi gente.
I mean he lives in England... there’s no latino products over there I think
Eunice Lopez What Latino products are you talking about?
Mexican ingredients but we don't bake the eggs, I think he tried to fussion mexican style with european (it looks like the spanish paella valenciana).
Ryomyong Taedong
I mean, he did say Mexican INSPIRED, so you know...
@@nerfbeard4809 usually when something is inspired it usually actually LOOKS like what they say. This could have easily been named "Latin" or "South American" because this is definitely NOT Mexican inspired in any way 😂😂😂😂 Mexicans actually make everything from scratch

What a novel way to use tortillas. Same for the rest of the recipe. I may try it someday to surprise my Mexican family with something really different. I would still use tortillas only to the bottom of the pan, since we’re not so fond of such Americanized uses of tortilla. Of course to each his own.
