Aaaaah khand... the second coolest army after easterlings😄 For people starting the army: - Non-hero chariots are actually a bit overpriced as you pay 30p for a d4 model if they can get the 5+ in the way. Which happens quite often if you get hit by enough arrows. - the movement phase is the best part for the chariots. Aaah the sound of screaming hobbits....🤗 - the king is way better (and counts as a banner) than the chieftain and you can take him twice as he is not a named hero. Still in lower point gsmes you might wanna take the chieftain. - the Horsemen are great value, s4, able to piercing strike for 13p, yes please, they can be killy. Also good for skirmishing but only if the opponent doesn't have much shooting. - warriors on foot are rubbish. Just don't😅
The more i play with that army I have more very positive expirience with foot warriors. First of all you can move and charge between larger bases of chariots and horsmens. You can increase number of models in your army list a little bit. They can be used to secure some objective and shoot enemy from the distance from your rear and send more precious cavalry into enemy. I also see use for Khandish Chieftain on horse instead on chariot. Horse give you more control over issue key heroic moves.
The riders can piercing strike making them S4 which is really good on such cheap models. Additionally your defense is already so low you don't care about the drop in defense
So the chariots themselves are defence 7, with the bonus defence this provides it will for the majority of attacks make your warrior essentially defence 7 when targeted.
Great army 👌

Once a few things settle down, I might grab these fellas for an Evil Battle Company. Mostly want to get the King in the Chariot to act as the Leader

I just got back into mesbg, i just bought a full 700pt khand army
Awesome stuff!
How do chariots make you defence 7?
