I've used this method in the past. It's kind of a lot to manage with respect to food farming and can delay progress if you've dumped energy into the food for the next day's crypt rather than progressing a champ. I use the Rhazin, Relickeeper and Broadmaw champs as fill ins for FW. Get them to their needed stars, only ascend the ones that are needed for quests. If you pull a Rhazin epic or Broadmaw rare, maybe you use the components as food (if you don't want the champ chase points later).
@M.to.the.L The method does take a lot of energy. That's why it's so valuable in the first week - when RAID is just throwing energy at you and you need so many food champs. Moving into the 2nd and 3rd weeks, you'll start holding onto a FW rare or epic here or there and you'll level up fewer food champs each day. But yes, this shouldn't come at the expense of leveling your main squad members. That takes priority. Thanks for the comment!
I have actually already 4* my Shieldguard and booked him with other Shieldguards that drop from Hard Stage 9-3 (farming there as long as Kael is only 5*). Getting faction teams that can farm the crypts is very valuable for us FTP players.
Shieldguard is insane for an uncommon booked with dupes. He can battle stance every other turn. If you can somehow get his defense to a ridiculous number, he'll easily clear the early stages.
@shukarion6677 Shieldguard is insane early game. I've got mine building now. Also building a saurus for lizardmen. AoE uncommons can be really strong in FWs (I like Zephyr Sniper too).
@Crashdown96 Some people run him up to 6* and make him their campaign farmer as well. I usually stop at 5* with him, but even there he continues to do work in FWs for me 2+ years into my main account.
@@ColredPlaysRSL I've never run him to 6*. I've always stopped at 5 and been happy with him. I might try it on my main which has plenty of food just to see how helpful it would be for a f2p acct. He's already a beast at 5* for an uncommon. IMO, I rate him right behind Armiger for best uncommons.
Great Information!, I have been playing for a couple years now (lvl 54) but I just created a free to play account. Honestly when I started the first time I didn't know what I was doing and just learned as I went along. I made many mistakes along the way and have dumped $1000's into the account. I have become somewhat bored with the game and it's hard at this level just to stop putting $$ into it. I started this new account (free to play - no money) because I feel like I have a better grasp on the game now and want the challenge of leveling the proper way. This video and others of yours is super helpful even for me a veteran player because I didn't know strategies like this and I've learned things that I still didn't know. I didn't know what I didn't know! lol so, thank you, great video and keep them coming!
@steveforrest8 Thank you Steve! I'm glad that even veteran players like you can find my videos worthwhile. Personally, I always try to have the mindset that, no matter how long I've been doing something, I can always keep learning. That way I never stop improving. Good luck with the new F2P account!
great and useful video thx! the most difficult part as a beginner is to drop the `kill a faction boss` advanced quest. It seems for this we need at least a couple of good (not food) champs
@supergualdo Yeah, that quest can be very frustrating early in the game. For some factions, you can defeat the stage 7 boss with just 40s, some will need a 50, and others need just the right specific champ, no matter the level. I'm around 70 days in now, and I've got about half of the stage 7 bosses down, so most days I can do the quest. I still don't like it though.
Watching this video. This is next level stuff for a bran new account. Make most of what you have early on and progress much faster. Do this if your new
@dannys6263 Indeed. It's like a booster rocket for a new account. I'm loving all 5* perception and resilience gear I'm getting. It's literally going on every champ I own. Thanks for the comment!
@nok_l_head9320 Thanks! I think it's super useful in the first week of a new account, but it will continue to bring value for the first several months.
@ColredPlaysRSL absolutely! Main account is a good 3 years old and I've done this method since faction wars came out for all 4 of my played accounts... glad to see it getting some love!
@StLouis83 Yes, it's a great idea to hold onto one or two rares for each faction. I don't worry about the rares I can farm from campaign though. If I'm in real need for a particular faction, I'll watch the market, farm campaign, or even level up some commons. Works great!
@dariusjankovskij8364 Yep. And as a F2P player, the extra value is considerable. Since you're farming up food every day in the early game anyway, why not get free gear out of it as well? Thanks for the comment!
Just over 60 days in now, i have teams of rares and uncommons ( plus any epics pulled) for each fraction built and kept in my vault, saves time thinking who do i need to build again each day. Get a minimum of floor 6 on each fraction
@iangodwin5282 Yes, as you progress, that's exactly what happens. But you can still keep checking the next day's factions in case you don't have the rares you need. Sounds like you are on your way though. Keep it up!
My level of food farming is similar except that I use the Nightmare campaign with 3 food champs and one Legendary 6 star champ in order to level them up to level 30 much faster
@Tahokmusic Yeah, that's a nice strat. It works really well late game. Early game you can't farm nightmare, and mid-game you still need the mystery shards. But eventually Nightmare is much more efficient, especially during champ training events. Thanks for the comment!
@juliepage4382 Sure, life must come first. And this method does take some effort. At least, it does at first. Once you get the hang of it, it's not that bad. And it usually gets easier each week as you pull more rares and epics and hold onto them. But especially for that first week, it's incredibly useful for snowballing your account. Thanks for the comment!
My problem is there is only so much time, and so much energy. If I could get stun sets with the right stats, artak could be a beast. He is pretty much a beast already for content I use him in. Faction wars looks pretty neat. Too much stuff. I also need to get minotaur farmed. Scrolls for my newer 6 stars. I guess I went with Painkeeper as opposed to Tayrel, I should get to six starring Tayrel before long. Painkeeper might help with Iron Twins. Eventually it might be beneficial if I got a block damage/unkillable champ.
@ColredPlaysRSL No, actually the thing you pulled up from ayumi says soulstones, but maybe that's what they called them before the red shards were introduced.
The “tips” I wish I had known about 2 years ago - you gave us all the “substats” today on FWs! Hopefully this will help new player”git gud” faster.
@steve11b29 I'm glad you enjoyed the tip Steve! Now go out there and git gud!!

Not a bad tip.
I usually just pull shards during cvc, farm campaign for a specific faction, and keep good rare or so for fw.

this is a great technique for people who love micro mannaging raid:shadow legends.

I have sort of done this, but a lot of work to keep straight daily in my busy real life.

very good tipps!
@ferhatkurt8898 Thank you! I hope you get some value out of them.
Soulstones?
ahhh...we got the tips
@tonywalthall And I hope you enjoyed them, Tony!
You do not get soulstones from faction crypts. You get willstone & bloodstone
@robertromig90 Correct. Did i misspeak in the video? That happens sometimes.
@ColredPlaysRSL No, actually the thing you pulled up from ayumi says soulstones, but maybe that's what they called them before the red shards were introduced.
