I am confused at one point when you are adding 1 to 10 it will become 11 and it is in range of -128 to 127 how you say it becomes integer and we should start case form 11 not from 10.
Hi asma. Its arithmetic operation rule -> reult=max(int, type of a, tyoe of b,). If you are performing operation like int a=1;byte b=10; a+b then here result will be max(int, int,byte) and int is max so reult Always be int type. Hope you understand

Whenever an arithmetic operation is performed between operand then the output will depends on max(int, type of another operands). Here in this case (byte b +1) we are adding a byte value with an int (1) value. So as per rule int is bigger type then byte so the result after addition becomes integer. Thank you :)

yes, we can use ternary operator in case of if_else ....but it is too complicated when we use it..because we need to think twice or thrice to implement our logic ...so better go with if_else or nested if_else

here 1 was int and 10 was byte type

Java switch expression must be of byte, short, int, long(with its Wrapper type), enums and string.
