Little guy was adorkable. I'm guessing the zoo has handlers introduce the baby Puffins to the water because the adult Puffins taught them how to swim a few babies would die? That seems happen in nature with birds, who jump off cliffs and out of trees to learn how to swim and fly. It's literally do or die time in nature.
A puffin chick is learning to swim. What was your favorite part of this video?
Aww, the little champ handled it very well for his first dip on the big pool
One of the cutest thing I have ever seen. "No Mam!" "I am not going to stay in this giant puddle" He must be part cat!
Oh I love puffins and they are so cute
They taste amazing, and yes, They are a staple food in Iceland.
Really glad chick was able to properply float for some seconds
All I want in life is to fly and hunt fish with these puffins in Atlantic
Be aware, puffins are a stale food in Iceland
NC Zoo! I love watching the puffins!

National Geographic Wild is a place for all things animals and for animal-lovers alike💙💙💙💙
Love this, you guys are awesome 👌 👏 🙌 ❤ ♥
Edit: The edit was when I corrected my spelling mistakes
Wouldn't him being in with the others encourage him to swim anyway?
NGW thank you so much!
so cute
I can never like that guy Andrew Zimmern anymore because he once cooked and ate a puffin.
Puffin
PUFF-in
That's cool
Nicc awesome
Nice
super
Why not just let the mother/ elder bird out for a swim? The chicks will learn on their own by imitating her... This seems like a wasted effort.
Because it’s not like that in the wild.
I agree. “Will the puffin like the water?!” Um yeah, they will.
Uyoyiyiyiyyiy
Wow im early
Dude poeple
They are animals they don't need you to teach them how to swim 🤦🏽♂️ it's called instinct. what a waste of time and money. 🤦🏽♂️
But they want to teach 😶
Actually, they aren’t born with the ability to swim, even in the wild.
Powerranger6342 🤦🏽♂️🤣
NGW thank you so much!
