That man is someone’s son, brother, father. Something happened to change his life.
My brother is homeless due to his mental illness. Nothing our family can say or do will keep him off the street. Just heart broken because he is not a loser just lost.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Ramona for telling us about your brother....you are so brilliant to point out that the singing soul in the park is indeed someones' son....someone's everything at one time...and the hymns he sings must have a history of faith that somehow became elusive perhaps...nobody can judge or know...we can only try to help as best we can...and one way I think we can help is to change hearts and minds that looking at life as " winners and losers" is pointless and does not serve our goodness or humanity. I am saying prayers for your brother, your family and you...and thank you so much for sharing your heart....what a wonderful sister you are...Desi and I send you our love always.

I could write an entire story here but I will not. Having been a Fire InSpector for 35 years I was responsible for All Hospitals and institutions. This included Hospitals, Nursing homes, Alf’s, jails, homeless centers, drug/alcohol centers and mental health facilities.
To make a long story short. I met a man on the street who was homeless. We became friends. I got him back to his Mom who died 5 days after his arrival. She had left everything to him but had not seen him since the VietNam war. We remained friends and spoke every Friday night sometimes for hours. He sent me a beautiful vintage locket with my initials engraved on it for my birthday one year. When I did not hear from him one Friday I became concerned but thought oh he is down in Texas doing some VA follow up. Two weeks passed and I received a call from a woman that he had passed away in his sleep. I cried for days for my dear friend, Art. He was a shining light.
You never know. There is so much to add to this story but it would be too long. He was a good caring compassionate man who provided me with more good than he will ever know. God bless and watch over him.
    😎❤️💄Kathy😷

Anyone of us could easily be the man in the park. Empathy and compassion is very much lacking in some folks. Stay safe, and never let anyone dull your sparkle for life itself.😊❤️

It's very sad that your neighbor made such a callous comment. If not for the grace of God, it could be any of us. That man more than likely has more depth than anyone could imagine. The fact that he can still sing, although he's homeless, speaks volumes. I would choose to be more like him...

    • @LittlePoet

Thank you for your words Sherri....they meant so much to me today. That man in the park who sings so lovely has meant so much to me...the park is really the only place I can go to see people...as as I walk around I have my camera, but I don't make people happy like he does. Desi makes many people happy..they love to pet him and call his name....but I remember one day this man was singing a hymn and it brought tears to my eyes....I asked a lady standing by me what song that was and she said " I think he makes it up on the spot" and SHE had tears in her eyes. From that moment on I started looking for him when I go there. Do you think things happen for a reason? Sometimes I truly do believe that perhaps there are angels that appear to help us when we are on our last legs....Love to you always, Susan & Desi

    • @sherrismith5258
      @sherrismith5258 4 года назад +13

@@LittlePoet I do believe that things happen for a reason. The man who sings may be an angel. I had a homeless man who was elderly ask me to buy him some food one day. He was in bad shape. The bridge of his nose looked like it had skin cancers that were bleeding. He said, "Honey, I'm so hungry." My heart just broke. I bought him some food, & he was so grateful. I left with tears in my eyes. Later on, as I reflected on our interaction, I wondered if he was an angel. I was feeling very low in spirit that day. Although my eyes were filled with tears, I felt such peace after that. I believe there are angels among us.

Stories such as your man in the park make me stop and think. There are those who pause and gaze at a sunset, and there are those who never even notice. There are those who tap their toe to a catchy tune, and there are those who turn the radio off. There are those who stand by the pond and chat with the swans, and there are those who only see a nuisance. I’m an artist and an author...some look at my paintings and love them while others look and harshly judge themselves for “not being able to draw a stick figure.”
I find it so interesting to be in a situation in which it momentarily opens the soul of a person just wide enough for us to be able to peek inside and see what they’re made of. And although it was a horrible thing for your neighbor to say about that man, what providence it became for you to be able to peek into her soul and know what is inside her. I love your videos, by the way! Thank you 💜

You are a bright light to the world! Her comment would have made me feel exactly the way you felt. Your neighbor has either not experienced loss or is emotionally not equipped to empathize with someone's unfortunate situation. Keep spreading your light and love to the world! I just love your videos!! Thank you for taking the time to make them. People know they always have a friend online that cares. You are a special person. God bless you!

I have been so fortunate to have found your channel. You are such a terrific lady, so pretty, so classy and refined. WE have something in common. I too was married to a Vietnam veteran for nearly twenty years. We had two children and many struggles, but also a lot of love. But like you, he divorced me and left me in dire straits. But here I am at 75 years old and I am still standing. Thanks for being such and inspiration and sharing your adorable Desi with us. Wish we could clone him. God bless you and yours!

It's so kind and perceptive of you to not film this man. It would probably upset him. It's tragic and the solutions are so complex because we're talking about individuals, not everyone has the same story. Regarding hair, I am letting my silver grow and while it is a process, I'm enjoying it. My hair is thicker than ever and I think (for me) the coloring was causing problems. Be well and thanks so much.

Greetings Susan! I loved your story about the park angel. A man in line at the grocery store said he was doing Great! the other day, and I turned around and said "It's so nice to hear somebody say that!" And he replied that life was too short not to enjoy each and every moment. Isntt that beautiful?! Love and blessings 🙏

Hi Susan! Hi Desi! Thanks for maker my day brighter. The people that made fun of the man are at a different place than you on their spiritual path. It is sad, but anyone can become homeless. It happened to me, and it was horrible. I learned something that I thought I already knew, and that was humility. I hope these people can remain teachable. Have a great week!

You are the sweetest person I've come across in a long time. You and Desi are something I now look forward to every Saturday morning when I get up. I'm on my own at 61 with my two dogs. I'm letting my ex boyfriend live here for a bit because he lost his house but he's my ex because of his gambling. I couldn't let him be homeless though. It's a shame. We spent 16 years together. But, now I'm lonely in my own house so I have to think of things to do and we have this way of interacting but not interacting. I would be looking for the lost soul, too. I cant imagine being homeless and mentally ill. There but by the Grace of God go I. I use Lanza shampoo and conditioner for blondes then after my shower I have heat protection and a trauma serum. It's working for me and it's all by Lanza. Your hair looks beautiful!
I don't know what we'd do without ac!!! It stays in the 90s for weeks. You are such a joy. Have a great week Susan!

I hope you shared your sweet heart with the person who criticized. She could learn a few things from you 🥰🌸

That’s so sad that your neighbor would make that comment having no idea who this man is and what has happened to him in his life. When I was a young single mother, I was always one paycheck away from being homeless. We should never judge but always be kind. Maybe he is an angel in disguise💖 I hope the next time you go to the park you find him singing again. Blessings to you and Dezi and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Hi Susan, I'm a relatively new subscriber to your channel and it has brought me so much peace and feelings of gentleness and joy, so thank you for that. The world is pretty harsh right now and you are a gentle soul to make it a bit better. I am so envious of your hair and how you do it and have been wishing you would do a segment on just your hair. Lo and behold, I tuned in today and there you were with all kinds of goodness for hair. You must have gotten my subliminal messages - "Susannnnn, do a videoooooo on your hairrrrr". And you did and thanks. I'm 81, with graying short hair and am looking for ways to spark it up a bit and will take some of your suggestions to Target this afternoon and see what I can come up with. Thanks again for you.
