It's nice that you happen to use this terminal, because I switched over from vanilla Debian 12 Bookworm with Cinnamon to LMDE 6 Faye due to a critical screensaver bug rendering a current session unresponsive, that and I kind of like the more grounded Linux Mint experience LMDE affords. I replaced GNOME Terminal with Tilix, and aside from having to use a .bashrc condition to set the VTE variables, it's smooth sailing. As for color schemes, I use Selenized. Selenized is Solarized but better (imo), and comes with a "normal" black background option.
Never mind, found the "Ubuntu Nerd Font Propo Light" font and all the symbols are correct. I forgot to set the font in the actual preferences.. So simple, can't believe I missed that.
I have terminator on my debian for similar reasons got it styled in 30 seconds.. I have Alacritty on Arch which I like, tried kitty and a bunch of others..
I replaced my shell with tilix, it is simple and does the job.. Wish I could find the fonts for "exa" i got most of them, but missing the Terminal symbol. I tried Nerd fonts Symbols, but get the chines stuff for the symbol, but everything else looks good. :( Thanks for all the help, currently running ALL the debian WM from your install script. I will eventually replace my POP-OS primary with the WM. I am really liking the Tiling managers, just cant get use to the SUPER key just yet. :) Thanks for everything you do, will keep you subscribed and bell icon clicked.
Till is probably one of my go to terminals on LInux , the being Konsole. The thing I am missing though is the ability to log my sessions. eg. in SecureCRT I could just enable to log all my sessions in a separate txt file, so everything I did was there to review. Do you know if Tilix has something like this?
do you have a discord? ive recently installed a wm from your script and its been very nice but there are some small issues that i cant seem to find and would like to ask about. also your bashrc is awsome, tought me how to use aliases and stuff which i didnt know of before.

hurray! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in the world that uses tilix 😂
Great vid. Thanks for sharing. Now I understand why Ubuntu Budgie's choice of terminal is Tilix. I really like this terminal also 👍.

Hi I would recommend eza it's a fork of exa which is newer and updated!! I never had any fonts/icons issue with it with nerd fonts 😊
@@gintokisakata9148 I will have to give that a try.. Thanks for the info. I'm assuming they have that in the Arch AUR?
@@gintokisakata9148 Eza not in Debian stable yet. It will be when Debian trixie is released.

No, discord is something I use. But, not something I want to maintain. Sorry.
Doesn't tilix offer a bookmark feature? (Keep bookmarks of most used ssh-login servers)
Yes it does.
xfce4 one love :)
