The most technical and transition-driven dancehall. The most inventive and intention-driven general hip hop. The most multidimensional and precision-dependant vogueing. The most impressive popping ever performed on the HHI stage--no crew has ever performed a strong enough popping section to end a set in HHI. Such a gamble but they pulled it off and then some. I'm sorry but I didn't expect them to just place. With this routine, I expected them to take the gold. The most dissapoy line up of judges to date.
Sometimes the uniform has a big role. I don't think it suited them. It is a fantastic routine but I think the uniforms took away from how hard they performed
Best routine hailing from New Zealand this year. And that is saying something. I'd say the Royal Family set is a very close second. Something about the utter confidence dripping from these young ladies, the finesse, the attack, the detail, the emphasis on sisterhood. Should have at least been placed in the top 3. But like all the NZ dances this year, it's beyond medals and glory, more about cementing their place at the pinnacle of international dance. Also credit to the indomitable Kiel Tutin for his choreography.
Anyone else notice that every year at hhi sorority has a prop? 2011&2012 was the jacket. 2013 was masks, 2014 was the flags tied to their wrists and 2015 they used those scarves. Wonder what they'll bring to 2017. Edit. They didn't bring shit.

Yeah it doesn't matter that they didn't place! Their style and talent is def unique and cannot be replicated by the other teams...... They've gone to do bigger and better things that none of the other teams have managed to do within a year! Talent is rewarded where needed. Well done Sorority and RF for your SUCCESSES!

The entire routine from start to finish was SICK. They absolutely KILLED IT. Incredible performance. But 1:55-2:12 was definitely my favorite part. LAWD!! Absolutely INSANE. Go ladies!!
The better they are, the worst place they get 2011 (1st place - gold medal) 2012 (2nd place - silver medal) 2013 (3rd place - bronze medal) 2014 (8th semis - didn't reach the finals of course, I think it was their worst year) 2015 (4th place, and it was their BESTTTTT year) that makes me feel really angry, because they are just getting better and better and each year the judges give them a worse place, it seems like they are blind!
These judges are not blind. Sure sometimes their decisions are questionable but in this case they should be 4th. Quite a few times there were hiccups in this choreo where as the ones that place were more clean in some areas. They were only .01 off from tying with 3rd

Its actually easy, its just a count of 8 counts, when the eight count comes its thw first pop. Whats impressive is their coordination to form a pyramid from a straight line.
Coming back, this has to be one of the strongest routine ever existed in hhi, the difficulty, the formations, the ATTITUDE. But they got problems on executions cause sometimes there's one dance who commit mistakes. Also as somebody said it, 1:48 onwards are GOLD. Look how they change their formation from straight line to pyramid, COMPUTED. Also, Ruthy my darling, with that lipbite. 💀

Nothing scares me more than the idea of Kirsten being taken out of Sorority next year to be promoted to Request. Remember, other then a few hints here and there, we barely got a warning when Kaea and Kyra was promoted. We've lost so many og sorority members, I don't know what I'd do once the last two og members Kirsten and Corbyn gets promoted.
I think they've already been "promoted". Since they're both already in request videos and Kirsten went the AMAs. Also I thought they got moved up when they turned 18 since you have to be 14-17 to compete in the varsity level (Kaea and Kyra are both 19 I believe so they couldn't compete on this level either way). Plus they have a ton of girls who are really good in bubblegum who are really good who will probably be promoted as well as girls like Ruty who are only 16.

Yeah, I still have to say - as a longtime fan and follower of all the RF - this routine in particular stands out for many reasons. It is perfection IMHO. I hate to say it but some of the more recent performances I've seen, both in competition and as performance - have lacked the IT factor that routines like this one had. Of course Parris' choreography was totally on fleek, but also, I love everything from the precise synchronization, clever props and tight formations, to the music choices and edits to the FIERCE facials and adorable outfits, sick use of levels with both the varying heights of the dancers and the X, Y and Z axis kept in full check. Add to that the flawless and bad-ass transitions and change-ups that make the audience get wicked emotional whiplash make this piece one for the rule books of dance choreography history on "this is how it's DONE.".
THe facial expressions is so unique. It's the Polyswagg.. Polynesian tribes used to use facial expressions as way to intimidate before battle. Like the Haka!! It's totally amazing how The Palace do it in their routines..
Out of all the RF crews performance this year, this is my favorite out of all of them, kinda wish they didn't have separate choreographers, but its understandable since parris is busy, but its like missing that polyswagg or something(when parris would choreograph, it goes to be top medals), but I'm not talking bout this performance though(this performance was awesome, good one from kiel tutin of course). But like unfortunately this year, there missing alot key players...especially in the mega crew and stuff, I get they like to switch it up and bring new faces, but its like, once I get use to there new crews who are featured and warmed up to that set of dancers...they change it up and we as fans have to get use to the news ones all over again almost every year(I wish they fave the crew atleast two years to gel or share the same chemistry) I hoped they placed but I'm glad they are always able to show us there awesomeness every year and for that...thank you, you guys represent your guys country very very well, and atleast you guys are in the top ten, so you guys are nz's gold medal no matter what, because you guys represent them immensely and let people know who you guys are, keep it up, and I hope u guys just keep strong your true style and dancing for each other and use this loss as a motivation to bring your guys meanest next time, and hope you guys don't lose hope but find inspiration from it for next year, but also learn from what is needed aswel. : ) #polyswagg #sorority #hhi2015 #newzealand #hiphopdance

The way that they created the height dimensions for the vogue on one foot bit then brought that dimension back was incredibly clever.

Out of all the RF crews performance this year, this is my favorite out of all of them, kinda wish they didn't have separate choreographers, but its understandable since parris is busy, but its like missing that polyswagg or something(when parris would choreograph, it goes to be top medals), but I'm not talking bout this performance though(this performance was awesome, good one from kiel tutin of course). But like unfortunately this year, there missing alot key players...especially in the mega crew and stuff, I get they like to switch it up and bring new faces, but its like, once I get use to there new crews who are featured and warmed up to that set of dancers...they change it up and we as fans have to get use to the news ones all over again almost every year(I wish they fave the crew atleast two years to gel or share the same chemistry) I hoped they placed but I'm glad they are always able to show us there awesomeness every year and for that...thank you, you guys represent your guys country very very well, and atleast you guys are in the top ten, so you guys are nz's gold medal no matter what, because you guys represent them immensely and let people know who you guys are, keep it up, and I hope u guys just keep strong your true style and dancing for each other and use this loss as a motivation to bring your guys meanest next time, and hope you guys don't lose hope but find inspiration from it for next year, but also learn from what is needed aswel. : )

well kiel didnt choreograph the entire thing, the nicki minaj section was choreographed by Parris as it was used in the RF's nationals routine
Life is about growing up. U live and u learn. Its also about opportunity. If parris didnt give her own crew members the chance to choreograph, then she'd make a terribe dance teacher. This experience will only make them better. Such is life.
