Yep, lentils and other beans will grow! Even birdseed and food for guinea pigs! I know because I am a teacher. We once had a class pet, a guinea pig. We had a long weekend break for which we left extra food and water (and a nice custodian to watch the pet). But when we came back the pet had a miniature garden from its food. The seeds had gotten scattered and with all the fertilizer in its pen, had sprouted up!

Then when I scroll to the comments hoping for some good conversation between other parents who have tried the idea and have feedback on how it went for them and some more tips, instead it's always a wall of kids talking about how crazy it is that they are a kid and like this channel.

Try this you need one long string and tie the two ends in opposite direction and put a straw in the middle of the string and tie or tape the inflated balloon to the straw and let go to let the air out and have fun chasing it
