Hey America! Why do you call football saccer? I've watched your variation of rugby and the ball is very rarely kicked by the players ( feet). Your American rugby is more like a variation of rugby and aussie rules.
If you ever get the opportunity to watch football( saccer) you not fail to notice that the players all use their feet ie the name football. The only players allowed to handle the ball on the pitch are the goal keepers. And ever wondered why the world calls football well football and your version of rugby well American rugby. Why do the players wear so much protection, try playing real rugby or aussie rules! They don't wear any protection except mouth guard or box. Methinks american rugby players are a tad wimpy.

Football is an umbrella term. Soccer is short for association football. American football is a type of football that also involves kicking the ball. Rugby is a type of football. Aussie rules is a type of football (did you whine at the Australians, too?) I swear I'm sick of these fools not using their own brains just hopping on the bandwagon to argue about this. Do you not have any more important things to think about? If so, then next time you should ask why "cool" is used on things that are impressive. If you don't have the common sense behind the protection which is that American football players' are more explosive and collisions are at a greater speed because of the protection and less playing time (imagine colliding at full speed in rugby, collarbone broken, neck broken. And there's still 70 minutes of playing time left. Have you ever even played rugby? Have you even watched a video and compared the speeds between the two sports?), then you shouldn't be commenting on the internet with your full name.

Put any pro rugby player into an American football game and they will get crushed. The reason why American football players wear protective gear and rugby players don’t is because American football players are much faster, bigger, stronger and are more likely to cause major damage unlike the little ass rugby players lol

according to a preliminary study of college athletes that was presented at the American Academy of Neurology Sports Concussion Conference “Impact was measured in g-force, which is the measurement of gravity described in units of acceleration. Overall the rugby players had impacts with an average of 21 g-force. Football players had impacts with an average of 63 g-force.” American football players literally tackle with 3 times the force of a fugby player. That’s why they wear equipment….
