I was in utter disbelief.

When Lud said “The coordinates are at the bottom of the lake”, it sunk my heart, as it reflected the game of life. You have to reach rock bottom, to truly find out where life leads you. Amazing writing, and insightfulness. Props to him, and the writing team. Recommending this to everyone friend and family member I know. 10/10
I can concur that this was a truly heartwarming piece of dialogue which has uplifted the entire community, and to Ludwig, a truly magnificent writer and actor, being able to add so much weight to a yet small set of words which has truly become the most outstanding piece of cinema for the world to endure.

I love how nothing works out. The chest is dissolving, the canon doesn't shoot far enough and the Sumo wrestler just stands there. A royal fuck up. I get why Jimmy didn't want to upload the video. Good enough for Ludwig though.
+ The car dropping upside down, some of the footage was out of focus or washed out, ludwig's piece to camera explaining the cannon caught the cameraperson off guard, the dirt got into the money making it look like it was less than it was... Oh man

Honestly, ludwig's performance was on par with the absolute masterpiece that is MORBIUS. When the lines, "its a chest," left Ludwig's lips, a sense of nostalgia rushed my body, similar to the existential ecstasy of the lines, "its morbin time."
I've been watching Lud for years now and I have to give him props. After all this time he finally made a video better than top ten salty ice climber moments!
I actually feel bad for the summo wrestler, he probably flew all the way to wherever this was filmed only to hold the papers for like 5 seconds before both teams got ahold of them. Im sure he's better than that, and he just didn't want to fight too hard to not hurt them, but I honestly just hope he doesn't get too much hate for this.
You can hear about it specifically on The Yard podcast FT. Mr Beast. He talks about how there was a translation error and the sumo wrestler knew pretty much no English and the translator didn’t really help at all.
Jimmy making Ludwig explain to the contestants that they have to look for a "sunken chest" has to be the most elaborate and expensive setup to a pectus excavatum joke. Bravo 👏🏼
I can see why Jimmy wasn't happy with this video, because it seems so extremely fast paced that even amazing things didn't mean that much. A REAL WORKING LIGHTSABER took up only like 45 seconds. The world's heaviest sumo wrestler only took 30 seconds.
All Mr Beast videos are this exact pace and it's one of the elements that make the videos good, they don't dwell on stuff longer than they have to just because they spent money on a big prop or something. I think he scrapped it because certain things didn't really end up being as exciting as some of the other stunts/events that happen in his other videos. Like the glue floor bit is a little dull. The working lightsaber part is REALLY COOL as a device, but it's not really that exciting watching them use it because it basically is just a blow torch. The dropping of the cars doesn't really add much nor does the "jail time" part shortly after. The Sumo Wrestler didn't really do anything. It's not that he was only in it for 30 seconds, it's that those 30 seconds weren't really used for anything that great. Nolan being buried alive is a nice callback to a prior Beast video but it doesn't really add much to the challenge. And Ludwig being in it is a fun reveal the first time he appears but after that Ludwig doesn't really get to do much. So i think it's just one of those things where all the ideas sounded good on paper but it just didn't really play that well in practice. The stunts/bits didn't have the same wow factor other ones in other Beast videos had.
@@VMYeahVN I think the reason all the ideas didn't work well is *because* they were only used for like 30 seconds each. A working lightsaber is dope, but felt underwhelming because it didn't get hyped up or much attention. The glue floor is such a fun idea, I actually loved that one. The sunken ship part was cool, but the divers were in and out in just a second (which is understandable, since they're not professional divers). It felt like everything was underwhelming because the video didn't give it the time to hype it up and showcase how cool it was. Too many things were crammed into a 10 minute video, so the coolness-factor of each thing suffered because of it. I think they SHOULD "dwell" on things longer. it'd make everything seem much more significant and cool (And none of this is to mention the societal issue of short attention spans due to content like this but that's a whole other pedantic topic)
I wish the sumo part was better done, but the rest wasn't too bad. Perhaps using a real brand new car to get crushed was kind of wasteful but I guess it adds to the excitement.

I actually feel bad for the summo wrestler, he probably flew all the way to wherever this was filmed only to hold the papers for like 5 seconds before both teams got ahold of them. Im sure he's better than that, and he just didn't want to fight too hard to not hurt them, but I honestly just hope he doesn't get too much hate for this.

You can hear about it specifically on The Yard podcast FT. Mr Beast. He talks about how there was a translation error and the sumo wrestler knew pretty much no English and the translator didn’t really help at all.

I can see why Jimmy wasn't happy with this video, because it seems so extremely fast paced that even amazing things didn't mean that much. A REAL WORKING LIGHTSABER took up only like 45 seconds. The world's heaviest sumo wrestler only took 30 seconds.
All Mr Beast videos are this exact pace and it's one of the elements that make the videos good, they don't dwell on stuff longer than they have to just because they spent money on a big prop or something. I think he scrapped it because certain things didn't really end up being as exciting as some of the other stunts/events that happen in his other videos. Like the glue floor bit is a little dull. The working lightsaber part is REALLY COOL as a device, but it's not really that exciting watching them use it because it basically is just a blow torch. The dropping of the cars doesn't really add much nor does the "jail time" part shortly after. The Sumo Wrestler didn't really do anything. It's not that he was only in it for 30 seconds, it's that those 30 seconds weren't really used for anything that great. Nolan being buried alive is a nice callback to a prior Beast video but it doesn't really add much to the challenge. And Ludwig being in it is a fun reveal the first time he appears but after that Ludwig doesn't really get to do much. So i think it's just one of those things where all the ideas sounded good on paper but it just didn't really play that well in practice. The stunts/bits didn't have the same wow factor other ones in other Beast videos had.

A working lightsaber is dope, but felt underwhelming because it didn't get hyped up or much attention. The glue floor is such a fun idea, I actually loved that one. The sunken ship part was cool, but the divers were in and out in just a second (which is understandable, since they're not professional divers). It felt like everything was underwhelming because the video didn't give it the time to hype it up and showcase how cool it was. Too many things were crammed into a 10 minute video, so the coolness-factor of each thing suffered because of it. I think they SHOULD "dwell" on things longer. it'd make everything seem much more significant and cool
(And none of this is to mention the societal issue of short attention spans due to content like this but that's a whole other pedantic topic)
