Tips: * full party of Zigzagoon isn't necessary for glitch, but does give you max use of the Pick Up ability, multiplying likelihood of speedy rare item acquisition. * Pick Up only procs (at 10% rate for Nugget/Rare Candy) once you WIN a battle. Pokemon with the ability does not have to participate. * Giving from the Bag menu is faster than doing it from the Pokemon menu (less inputs required).
Huge thanks for this video! I tried it on my copy of Sapphire last night and I was able to duplicate a ton of berries! Finally an easy way around the dead battery clock! After nearly 20 years I might finally get that final contest trophy! some additional notes: I used covet on a linoone instead of thief, and used the repeatable reporters double battle that moves around. (apparently that battle has a 255 battle limit but Im guessing most people havent hit that)
Some items to duplicate: Moon Stone in Ruby, Sun Stone in Sapphire, DeepSeaTooth & DeepSeaScale (good to have spares), Kelpsy, Palmtre (in dry battery carts for feebass), Liechi Berry or any other high-end berries, one-off type enchancing items, master ball, PP Max, (Max)Elixir & (Max)Ether, Every TM, Soul Dew, Heart Scale (even if it's easy to get), Important hold items like White Herb, Mental Herb, Leftovers and Battle Tower obtained items. Feel free to add more you can think of.

It worked I did just how u said to do it.. then I figured out how to continue it without having all 4 zigzagoon.. u need just keep one zigzagoon that knows thief move and the rest of your pokemon can be anyone u want in your party but have to hold 4 harbor mail in order to continue duplicate items. I done it myself. I actually copy ???????? Item then kept one on me n one PC in case u want to transfer it to other game Sapphire or Ruby.(also in early game u can come across PP UP or PROTEIN with zigzagoon if help u make alot money if u don't get Nugget early in the game. Both items can sell for $4900 at POke Mart.)

When you give the ???? and the mail to your pokemon in the first party a held item wont appear but this is fine. Everything still works as normal 3. You might need to attempt several times. First time the thiefed mail showed up as " ". Second time it showed up as the weird characters in the video.

Just now realizing because of the cut in the middle of the video, does "send to PC" mean send to Pokemon Center? I always thought it was personal computer, but the center has PC written on the front... really makes you think.
U should do this glitch with any duo battle u did for rematch. I did it on my ruby. I already got 8 badges so I figured try glitch out without having to start all over. It worked for me. ( only need a pokemon that knows thief or learn thief move. And u need to have all 4 pokemon hold harbor mail while other pokemon with thief move hold item u want to duplicate.) Follow instructions in the video u be fine. Don't really need 4 zigzagoon u can pick any 4 pokemon u have in your party to hold harbor mail. When u do duo battle, you have to have thief pokemon in and whoever u pick as first starter with hold harbor mail to get ???????? Item during battle.

@BBMacsWorld yeah you basically just do the same stuff as you did to dupe originally, but you can skip the part where you acquire the ??? by thiefing the mail since you already have it
Do you mean like on the pokemon or just in your bag? I've traded tons of times with it in my bag with no issues, no idea what happens if it's on the pokemon. I'll have to see what happens with that.

Not sure if it works in the Battle Tower, but I'm gonna guess it doesn't because any item interactions in the Battle Tower don't continue after the battle is over (like if you eat a berry, you get to keep the berry after the battle even though it was consumed). The glitch mail hasn't caused me any issues, and I completed my Pokedex after recording this video.
Also, even if the internal battery is dry you can still rematch trainers, or at least I was able to even though my battery is dry. Just make sure they have a rematch icon next to them in the Pokenav.
Does the ???? Item cause any damage to save file or anything similar to pomeg corruption since it deals with tinkering with game data? And once I'm done duplicating my chosen items, is there any way to safely get rid of the ???? Item or is it permanent on my save file? And one last question, has anyone gotten a bad egg from doing this or is that even possible? Because from the look of things it seems harmless sorta like the Emerald cloning glitch :p
In all my time playing after having duped (about 50 hours or so) I haven't encountered any issues at all. No bad eggs on my end and I've duplicated tons of stuff and completed the dex after duping. It's been a while so i dont remember if you can delete the item, but if you can't it won't cause any issues anyway.
Having the ????? is good enough. Im not 100% sure what all needs to go on to repeat it, so whenever I do it I do the following: Go into Pokemon and put the ? on 1 Pokémon and mail on the other. Remove the ?. Go into items and put rare candy/whatever on the Pokémon thst was holding the ?, then replace with mail.
@smak9002 thank you, I kept using my rare candy as I found it so now I have to go find one to dupe those but used it for a good amount of master balls and nuggets
@@MichaelLanierDerpyLugia what I did was give mail to all of the pokemon until the menu for choosing the words on the mail would show question marks instead of the _____, then give the theif pokemon the item I wanted to duplicate then swap it with mail. It could have side effects but I'm not aware of them rn

Gabby and Ty actually have no limit battle. After 255 battles they just stop to move around
