- NOT an easy decision but one I had to make no less. I’m going to give myself the month of December and see if in fact my b6 slim @chicsparrow is not going to be able to do what I need from a wallet capacity.
I’ve had this @bellataylor wallet for over a year but she sat in my closet for most of that time. I’m excited to see if this small change helps me get to the wallet part of my planner peace I need in 2021.
Loving your videos and your sincerity and authenticity. I’ve been using TBM for over a year, honestly it changed the way we manage our money in a wonderful way. Her forms are pretty thorough and I didn’t feel the need to over complicate and get any advisors involved or anything and I love the simplicity yet efficient way it taught me to keep track of what I was spending. I also got the book set for this year and I cut off the trifold to make it just like a regular notebook which I keep in my TN and I LOVE it that way. Thanks for always sharing with us! Have a wonderful day.
Happy dance over here! Glad you like my videos :)
Question for you:
If you were doing them on your own (my hubby doesn’t do them with me) is it wise to look at it daily or at what frequency? Would love to your thoughts
@@ChooseYourPlanning hubby is engaged in dialogue but I’m the one actually in the forms. Yes I’m in it daily to the extent only that I learned if I didn’t make it a priority to actually record everything down We spend then it was easier to let things go. I always journal a little at night and also part of my normal routine is go through expenditures for the day and record them down. I also keep a running tally....almost like a check register if you will of any top “offending” or common expenses and record totals down. I do mine cashless...I do not carry cash. For example, let’s say for the budget period I’m tracking we had set a budget of $100 for food, every day in my planner I update my daily “ledger” with the amount left to spend in the budget. Mine looks like a 3 heart checklist and I track household, planner supplies, and misc/unbudgeted. So for today Friday if I had $75 dollars left in my household budget and I went grocery shopping and spent 50....my checklist for tonight will get updated to $25...tomorrow I now know I have $25 bucks in my household budget....etc etc...for misc/unbudgeted dollars spent I keep a total of how much has been spent. And as for planning supplies...well that is to keep my happy spending ass In check....lol. As silly and tedious as this may sound...the two simple repetitive habits of first writing down everything....and cross checking against my budgeting goals for key areas daily COMPLETELY changed how I view and manage our dollars and has brought me so much peace. Sorry for the long winded answer...lol. 💗💗💗
@@Bridgetlovestoplan I love that reply one other question I have for you how did you overcome the initial anxiety and did you have anxiety to begin with? How did you start taking a look at it head on every day I think honestly that has been one of my absolute biggest struggles and it’s what makes me put it on the back burner
@@ChooseYourPlanning 💯 relatable. Yes, anxiety is my middle name and something I’m trying and work on daily. So, I might embarrass my self answering this....but whatevs.... I have an addiction to planning supplies...lol, honestly what made it something I wanted to conquer and address every day...is...I made it fun for myself....within the budget naturally....but ya, I use a favorite fountain pen, leather cover, planner insert, shimmering ink, stickers, pretty washi etc. I actually used my love and hobby of “decorative” planning and entirely turned my focus on budget spreads and facing my financial realities instead of any other kind of planning, and used all my supplies toward that as it was our biggest goal. I don’t know if that’s helpful or makes sense but making it “fun” within the realms of something I was already passionate about was what made it a solid routine....the cathartic satisfaction of putting a no spend sticker in my day as some kind of weird reward...just really works for me. That’s my advice...pick out what it is about the process that causes anxiety and try to design a counterpart that appeals to what you love and make it your own. TBM is just a guide that I have used, but it will work with any method I think. Committing to the steps daily that you set for yourself brings peace, consistency, and real results once you have stuck to the “plan” which in of itself does its job of reducing the anxiety at first, followed by genuine excitement and joy as more and more milestones get ticked off naturally. If I sound cliche when I say it changed our life, I certainly don’t mean to be dramatic....but...it changed our life. 💗
