Welp. After ~4 months or even more, my Omori animatic is finally done. The closer I got to finishing this, the more guilty I felt for doing a neutral ending animatic, but I'm happy with how it turned out all the same!
For this animatic, I imagined Kel singing this about Sunny, with me taking some creative liberties in assuming Kel knew about Headspace. A song for his best friend, the suffering artist, wishing he had known how much he suffered, wishing he could have helped before things ended the way they did....
The neutral ending (specifically the Knife Ending here) was actually the first ending I ever got in Omori, after I accidently left Basil's house on the night of the sleepover when I didn't know what else to do, AND I grabbed the knife on the kitchen counter. (Luckily I saved before any of that and was able to get the true ending after reloading). But the Knife ending being my initial ending shook me to the core and gave me nightmares for a week, so I was more than sufficiently inspired to make this animatic (lol). Omori will forever be one of my favorite games, as it is one of the only games I have ever played to effect me so so deeply.
