We set off on a 15km hike from Simonside crags in Northuberland carrying minimal kit.
The weather starts off with a bit of mist rolling in then the rain starts and continues for the rest of the night.
As we reach the final place we are camping we look for a good place to setup our ponchos and bivvi bags and get out of our wet clothing.
Soon as we are setup in the woods we get a brew on the go and some food what a difference that makes to your moral.
Collecting water from the lough to resupply our drinking water using a soya filter and cnox bag so we can cook up some food and make a cup of tea and have drinking water for the next day as we walk

I have those boots, I quite like them. But I'd probably keep them for summer only. I go heavy duty if it's looking wet out.

Hi Jimmy, great walk and camp, when you and Rooney popped in to see us that pile of wood was there as were some gas cans we moved, so prob not been camped at since and until this camp, nice to see a good hike with the camp. Must be a first not to get the saw out !!

Great video!! Down to earth! I stealth camped in the pouring rain two nights ago using a MFH poncho, bivi bag and 4 season military sleep bag. It peed it doon all night but the poncho kept me bone dry!! Didn’t leak at all. Great video !new subber!

Awesome video per usual. Blessed be the Giant Toddler, he looked like he was sucking wind 💨 on the way up the hill but he soldiered on! Was thinking, maybe he could give those compression calves sleeves that competitive athletes use to negate some of the knee wear and tear. Cracking video but that was some bloody Yomp you did!! That spot is great. We left a bit of kindling but it was covered. So looks like someone's been since but at least it was tidy. We had to clear the area first as there was rubbish all over, beer cans, food tins and even an old mess tin!! As for the boat I think it's from the local farm. You had the same noisy wild life that we had.🤣🤣 As for "Prior Proper Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance" Had a calf strain on the way there. Totally Fecked me!!! It still hurts weeks after so I probably tore it it went a lovely colour lol!!

Regarding carrying heavy kit for a distance, you certainly feel it when you haven't done it for a while, I know what you mean.

A tough walk in lads.. Nice scenery though, I haven't had a wet camp in ages... I might go out and find one this week, love rain on the tarp or tent. Cool set up. I liked the misty morning scenes 👍

Good stuff you two Drop Shot/Short WIMPS. 😁 How large/small are those Ponchos as usually, they're only about 140 cm long and not a lot of use when you're 183cm tall. There is always confusion with British Army kit between Ponchos which go over your head with a hood and Bashas that are simply TARPS and larger. I've never seen a Multicam Poncho before this video and I didn't know that there was a British DPM version unless the one Roney was wearing was Dutch? I have Woodland camo heavy duty Ponchos, but they're Yank kit. Anyways, well done and for a bloke who says that he 'hates editing' you did a decent job with some decent tunes. That Breakfast looked the Dog's Bits even if it wasn't enough to feed a small village. 😜👍

Good morning Jimmy and Roney. Well that was a wet camp and the walk there and back. Got to give it to you guys, I don't think I would have been in as good of a mood as you all were. A little rain isn't so bad but damn, you guys were getting it almost the whole time. Well you guys stay warm get some rest and I will see you on the next adventure.
