@@Sewmore Thank you! I just realized that I could do the same thing that Style Arc did to their pattern I had on! It worked so well!

@@robynlaszlo6128 Thank you! I think that pattern had an error on those sleeves (lower half). I’ll modify my pattern.

Hi Cheryl! I love the chicken! Your top looks great. Nice save. I can't remember the last time I made anything that I didn't have to do something to, or fix. I'm looking forward to seeing the coat finished. Happy sewing. 🥰 Bernadette

@@SuzySunshine Thank you! It’s always nice to see how different YT Sewest save their projects (if possible). I’m excited about both jackets. Adding things to green one and changing pattern a bit on cashmere one🥰

That pattern looks very similar to a lot of tops I made in the 80's! 😁 The days of Flashdance and the Jane Fonda aerobics video haha. (yes, I had one) I was lucky enough to live between to Hancock's stores in the Denver area, and loads of fabrics went under the needle for myself, husband and two boys.
I really like your gray top! With a little more stretch those sleeve probably would work 😘 I tried to copy the outline of one of my favorite long-sleeved tees once and used a cotton jersey. I made it up and could hardly bend my arms! 😲 On closer examination, the RTW top was actually in a microrib 😆😆 And salvaging it is what I did! (cut a different pattern with short sleeves). Thanks so much for your video today ❤

Thank you for watching and sharing your story. The original Hancock Fabrics was owned by the founder of Hancock’s of Paducah. His parents owned it! He shared stories of being young and running around the store. When his parents sold their store, it became the Hancock chain store. He opened Hancock’s of Paducah, full on fashion store! It was fabulous! He switched over to quilting store after the Quilt Museum opened and the show started here. His story used to be on his website, but I don’t know if it’s still there. If I find it, I’ll link😊

The chicken is beyond adorable. I know it's supposed to be a gag gift, but I think your grandson is going to love it. Great save on the sweatshirt! It looks nice on you.. Tight sleeves is my pet peeve, so I totally get why you tweaked it. I also like to alter items that aren't just right. After you've spent your time and money making it, you really want to use it especially when you love the fabric.
I've finished my Rhapsody blouse and an almost finished with a wrap front top (New Look 6601) . I just have to sew on buttons and topstitch the binding down again. I had too much tension on the thread the first time and it wasn't laying smoothly. The fabric was "ephemera envelopes" from Hobby Lobby. My husband loved that fabric so that's why it jumped the queue. I'm going to have to figure out how to post on instagram without downloading the app on my phone. Mr. Zuckerburg plays too fast and loose with personal information for my liking so I'll have to make an effort to do it on the laptop. It's just so much more fun to sew than figure out things on the computer. I can't wait to find out what your grandson thinks about his emotional chicken. I hope you'll share his reaction after Christmas. I hope your sewing is very successful this week. Making repeats sure made mine a lot more successful and sometimes I just need a win or two.

@@nadinewoods6971 Thank you, Nadine. I’ve managed to get the two tees finished yesterday. Today was a work day at church helping a friend with a project. I want to start my white “cashmere” jacket tomorrow. Also, I’d like to get some of the details added to the green jacket. I can plan things out with good intention, but things just happen during the week.
