they are Domino cakes based on the German/Austrian "Dominosteine" which means domino tiles. They're usually made with a layer of gingerbread, fruity jelly and marzipan - and often contain alcohol ! Not to my taste personally but a classic Christmas confectionary in Germany : )

Peanut clusters are sold year round here in The Netherlands, milk or dark chocolate,and nowadays even white chocolate I think.
