I’ve had a bunch of other cars but if it’s got 4 seats…there’s nothing like an F-body. The Trans Am of that era is an Ikonic car. Your first car, wow, take your time with it…pushrod power curves and rear wheel drive can be a handful. Thanks for checking out the channel.
@@KevinzGarage Yeah Ive never experienced anything like it either. Everyone I give a ride falls in love with it too. The car is 100% a handful, and I try to respect it for that. I want to learn how to drive it to its fullest tho, drift to drag imma try it all in this thing.
Ive owned 5 camaros two being ls1's. Will not dyno 375whp at all with full bolt ons. Both my 01SS and 01Z28 would tops full bolt ons 350whp and that was on the high side sae corrected. Not trying to bash on you they just cant do 375whp full bolt ons. Otherwise this is a beautiful ls1 and very nice video very informative. These cars with a properly set up nitrous system do really really well. These cars with bmr sway bars, bilstien shocks and bmr springs with subframe connectors not low at all do excellent in handling and ride really good with a good tires.
I probably should have mentioned I’m more of an enthusiast than performance guy. I’ve tried to learn the tech stuff about what makes the engines different as time goes on…but exact modified performance numbers…I could absolutely be off…I really do appreciate you sharing your experience. Thanks for checking out the content😎
The end of 2001, I got to drive the first 2002 Camaro SS SLP to hit St Louis. I wanted that car so bad, but I couldn't afford it at the time. Red on black, 6-speed w/ Hurst shifter, ZR-1 wheels, dual-dual exhaust,.....its was awesome. I did later in life own a '00 WS6 Trans Am and a '98 WS6.
I had a very similar experience. Drove a 2001 Z28 new…loved it…just couldn’t make it happen, bought a ‘95 Z28 that I loved and drove for years. 20 years later found the Silver SS I always wanted and couldn’t pass it up. It’s a great car, from cruising to date night to recently I got the chance to run it in the 1/4 mile(videos on the channel). They’re great cars, I’m surprised they aren’t worth more. Thanks for checking out the content😎
A couple of minor things. SS (WU8) cars came back in 1996, and the T56 in all LS1 cars is a Tremec not a Borg-Warner (LT1 only). Also, hang onto that SS grill, they are commanding a high price point these days! Great review.
Thanks. I don’t put myself out as a professional, I am not. I just don’t see a lot of these “walk through” type reviews of these late 4th gen’s and I wanted to get it out there. This is my 3rd in 23 years and I still just love these cars! Thanks for checking out the content and sharing your knowledge😎
Thank you. After having 3 of them I took this one to the track and ran the quarter mile…ton of fun! ruclips.net/user/shortsgqh-upnCeDU?si=OOtUf1NwhIvQHebu
@KevinzGarage exactly I had a torqhead 24x on mine still issues everything sold that I just want something different. My lt1 is quite modded but ls is way easier tuning wise
I drive a 2000 Trans Am, its a 6 speed and its my first ever car. I LOVE MY CAR! I LOVE THE FBODIES! They were genuinely special.

SICK F-Body 💪🏼 my 94 Firehawk has the Performance Exhaust option! Known as “TOTL”
Thank you. After having

That car is awesome.
Chevy thunder😎 it really is a great car…fourth gen’s are a “just do it” you gotta try one! This is my 3rd. Thanks for checking out the content😎
I have a 00,Chevy Camaro SS/Z28 With a fully Forged lq9 6.0 with an f1a-94 procharger with a built 4l80 with a ford 8.8 with 3.55 gears
That sounds like fun! I just started running the car on the 1/4 mile…after I get my time as low as possible I might consider some upgrades.
Small world, I have a 00 1LE SS and live in Schenectady. 1 of only 6 made.
Just ran a 13.7 with it at Lebanon Valley tonight😎😎😎
I still got my 94 z28
I had a 95, then a ‘93…definitely great cars…but I gotta say the LS1 is an upgrade. End of the day and 4th gen Z28/SS is a blast to drive😎
@KevinzGarage I want a ls1 or 2 now
@@jarmaljackson you’ll be very happy with it…first time I drove an LS1 was in a 2004 GTO and its power was IMMEDIATELY obvious😎
