And to think I just figured out today how to move an AI squad from one spot to another and our community is already creating full on missions and firefight modes. Absolutely insane but I love it.

I played this incredible remake of New Mombassa with dueling ai armies and real players, it was so badass
Would love if 343 made a forge tournament where the best campaign forge missions will be taken to make a mini campaign with voice acting and story.
I do like this idea of campaign missions like Spartan Ops. Like there are leftover Spartans in Zeta Halo yet the only time we see them is when they're dead. It's time we see them in action like the Spartans they are and that includes your own spartan
Can we just appreciate the doge that Brute does behind the sand bags at 4:50? It was so perfect.
All that's left is just for 343 to add a dedicated gamemode template, custom music playing/scripting and maybe fix a few bugs where sometimes the kill hit markers don't come out.
Dang a campaign mission in a custom game already. You really out did yourself man. Few questions, first is this a campaign going to be a series of back to back missions or is it a continuous campaign mission? Second, will there be more missions like this for other series you might be planning to make?
The way you showcased the gameplay is outstanding. You are the first one to showcase a campaign map and all lot of people would be interested. By the way when your showcasing a map don’t worry about dying, it’s part of the experience.

@@somethingjj1973, I’m just waiting for the day someone makes Bethesda level map design with just about as many quests, I would dig a fallout like game in halo.

I absolutely love this, I too am creating a 3 mission campaign based on earth during the banished invasion, plan to have 3 campaigns on earth before taking to someplace more wild however that's in the future. For now my first mission is almost done I'll most likely upload a video just like this on my RUclips channel.
The brutes in this game are a lot tougher way better than halo 3 brutes but halo 2 brutes are still a nightmare
but that's because they were designed to be unfair

I think when you give the community the tools to create stuff, things will be made much faster because the community tends to work with each other and thus progress tends to make things faster. We have videos on YT already with tutorials on how to make AI the cool stuff they can make. Not to mention the fact people make scripting prefabs which prefabs can be shared. So progress is made even faster with that fact.
I think more forge mini-campaign levels like this need to be made with equipment switching like Infinite's main campaign had. Though, some of them are small and cramped for a reason so it makes sense not to have them and I understand why.

I agree. There’s literally the ability for phantoms to drop in vehicles i don’t see it being too hard for 343 to eventually swap the model to a pelican. Plus it’s 2023 give us the ability to pilot the pelican ffs

Main campaign never had friendly ai driving vehicles sadly, the UNSC was so worthless in this halo... like you would encounter troopers standing next to a warthog instead of actively driving and chasing. They really need to look at Halo MMC: Ultimate fire fight as a reference for updates. I really do miss the mulit-faction npc battles with both air and ground vehicles of each side actively fighting each other.

Mod also had flood waves and they would infect bodies and take abandon vehicles. They hi-jacked my troop hog I left alone... It was the best experience ever. Also flood Juggernaut was restored and took on 5 high ranking brutes and won then leapt into the air towards me. New found fear was discovered!
Can't wait for community campaigns, gonna be incredible.
its such a good base now. firefight and forge ai, now just think about how impactful each new season could be with just like, idk like 2 new enemies, 2 new guns, and 2 new skulls. each season adding onto the sandbox.

This looks amazing. I'm currently in the planning stage of working on some similar missions, as well as some other unique ideas that I'm sure will stand out in the AI levels, but I'm not adept at forge yet. Would it be a possibility to work together? Someone skilled in this line of scripting would be great to work with!
Wow this looks sick, for sure I will be playing this. One question. Do you have the equipment like in the campaing or is it like the multiplayer via pick ups?
I set up a script which allows you to switch between equipment almost like in the campaign. You have all the equipment in the game available from the start

To think, they're becoming Valve in a sense.
The AI is brand new and still needs a lot of polish especially with aggression. That this is now in the hands of forger/players is excellent news and this is great for the time to develop you've had since season 5 dropped. Looking forward to how this work matures!
Fun custom campaign idea:
The Tower
First floors map description "A splinter group from the covenant discovered a forerunner tower on an otherwise desolate planet. The behemoth would've been visible from orbit, but the tower was hidden underground until this group activated it and saw in awe as it rose higher and higher into the sky seemingly never-endingly until one day it finally stopped and the entrance opened. It is said the splinter group is still climbing the tower to this day passionately curious to uncover its secrets at the very top and discover the reason such a structure was ever made. Just to use it against us, you must stop them."
The first map you have to fight your way into the tower that is as tall as will fit in the map creator, and at very high up made narrow to a point so from the viewpoint of the ground it just appears to be jutting into the sky forever, and as many floors chock full of enemies, vehicles, weapons, and varying level design as it will allow. Then you can make "The Tower (floors 30-40)" Or whatever and have consecutive maps where you start in the tower on the floor just above where you ended on the last map. Someone could in theory make it go on as long as they want since you just start a new map once the forge limit is reached. Enemies get harder, stronger weapons become available, and more complexity is added to the level design as you go higher up, they don't need to be confined office building floors either they could be super tall floors that allow for flying vehicles sometimes even.
Map descriptions moving forward could slowly reveal piece by piece the purpose of the tower from various objectives completed on the previous maps allowing our spartan to know that. The forger could even write their own lore on the splinter group and how they found the tower to begin with.

To be completely fair, 343 gave us the tools to do all of this, which took loads of effort. They deserve a lot of the credit here.

ive just accepted these are the only campaign additions were going to get until they release the next halo game. so forge will have to do.
Guess I’m gonna start making maps, I made about a half dozen maps on far cry 5’s map editor. Got pretty good, could make a 30-40 minute mission in 16-30 hours.
Man, Infinite’s forge could really use the terrain editor similar to Far Cry tools
This feels more like og halo than infinite. I hated the open world because of the pacing wasn’t as hardcore as the others. Don’t get me wrong it’s cool but it should be more of a branching path to the end objective so that you can maintain the pacing of a first person shooter. Or design it to be action packed like a battlefield from the books. With time skips causing the game to change based on combat effectiveness or side objectives being completed or not. Like if you kill this leader this battle Is won. If the captain isn’t saved the battle is lost. Or if neither happens then it’s a stalemate.
They should allow us to put some of the campaign soundtrack on the background too
Now we just need flood ai in forge.

Best case scenario is they take this and apply it to mcc, specifically for halo 3, reach, and 4.
Hopefully 343 will give us some more campaign updates now that it effects forge

Question, could you add or make a version with limited lives like in firefight? Because since you can just respawn where you died with all progress saved with the limitations of the editor, it would be nice too have some stakes/challenge. Don’t want it too be a boring slog like Spartan Ops.
I’m still figuring this out. Limited lives is a cool idea though I’m considering to make all enemies in the area respawn when you do

It took a lot for forge to get to this point. Firefight (several modes) is coming with potentially with the first operation as well.
I would've preferred if they released it all in matchmaking upon release of season 5, but I'm having a blast in customs.
