Hello, my name is Oliver and I'm going to tell you a story.
It's about a young girl...
She's only fifteen years old and has blonde hair and blue eyes.
She lives with her parents in New Jersey and they love her very much;
And one night she and her friends decided they were going to come to New York City.
"My Parents are away and I'll take their car, they will never know!
We're gonna have a great time!" she said.
And they drove over the George Washington Bridge and drove downtown to the Limelight.

And she turned around and bumped into a really cute guy.

and she had a few drinks too!

I was wondering if you wanna, you know... come to my place.
I just don't wanna... I just don't wanna be alone." And she said, "Yes!".
So they got into a taxi and went to 3rd Avenue and 11th street to the NYU dorm rooms
And went upstairs and sat on his bed.
And he said, "Take this pill..." And she did.
And then she said, "What did you just give me?"
"Ecstasy." he said. And then...

Loving it!! Isn't it incredible the way music can envoke so many memories and old emotions. I grew up in Norfolk, a very rural part of the UK, only had one small city with commercial clubs that had shirt/trousers/no trainers dress code. Due to this an underground illegal techno scene grew. It was before social media, and u had to know the right people from record shops and certain dealers. You would be given a secret mobile phone number which you had to call on the night of the party, and then be told the location and directions (vague). This was before sat nav, so at just before midnight you would end up in a convoy of other ravers coming up up of their chemicals in the middle of nowhere driving down a single track lane, quite often the only way to locate the field/beach/barn was to pull over and unwind your car window and listen out for a pulsating techno beat. The adrenalin we'd get as we got closer and the music got louder was immense. This was back in the day when ONE ecstasy pill was more than enough for the entire night, you'd never even hear of people double-dropping then. I know we all look back our past with rosetinted glasses, but the scene was so much better then, never saw a fight, if you were one of the last ones left in the morning when it ended you'd pick up a black bin bag and picked up any rubbish. Now I watch kids at local illegal parties and they are fighting, vandalising farm equipment, damaging all the wildlife. Due to social media too many people find out, plus the drugs are dirtier now.

I heard this the first time, freshly pressed, not even out for sale at Palazzo Bingen (germany), June 17th 2000, played by the master himself, Chris Liebing. The crowd went f*cking nuts 🙂. I remember chatting with Chris about this track when he had finished his set at about 9am. Crazy night^^.

I used to zone out listening to house music by just laying down with headphones on my ears when I was younger. Unfortunately that’s what I was doing the first time I heard this song. Lol. My eyes damn near popped out of my head when that voice changed up.
