Great video of the show Mark thanks for getting the vendors I missed them. I am still trying to get my videos uploaded. Anyway it was great to see you again looking forward to ACME 2023
Thank you buddy!! We missed you! Hope to see y'all next year! LOL, I'm going to grab some popcorn and watch it myself. (I threw it up with almost no editing and didn't check it) Yikes! LOL!
Hey Billy and crew! Great content ! man what a nice job you done have on the truck. First class all the way. Even the old man was quite taken with your work. Cudo’s to you all. I like you can’t wait to here it run. Oh I think the hood would look better white. Just saying. Look forward to the next one. Stay safe😀😀
Nice look around there Mark got to see a lot of cool kits builds and lot of the guys from you tube too hope to be able to make it one year maybe next one . Any way you did a wonderful job showing us what was there enjoyed
Thanks so very much for sharing this with the community I wished I had been able to be there but hopefully next year. I live in Farmington Missouri so it was a bit of a trip for me and since I have only been in the community a short time this year was just not possible to thanks again for sharing. 🙂Thomas over at The Model Hobbyist
Thank you brother!! Hope you can make the trip next year! I hear there were folks from 20+ states there! You will have a blast Thomas! Have an awesome week!
I was there ! Great show (other than parking lot construction) but i needed the walk, lol. I look forward to that show every year, because it is just cars. Spent so much i have to pass up Murphreesboro this weekend.
A lot of high quality work on display there - and I'm pretty sure I could easily spend a few thousand at the vendors area Going to a show in Tinley Park Illinois in a month - this got me psyched for it
Very nice video Mark, I really loved the builds you brought to the table and the 40 Ford panel was one of the best I saw .. Hopefully I'll get close to that skill level one day..
to bad i live in the Midwest in mo.. i would of loved that show.. Mark moved the camera to fast to see what they had could of swarn i seen one of the old mpc kits of Richard Petty.. but not sure.. thanks for uploading mark
Thanks Andy!! I lived in Springfield Mo for a number of years (school). That 1971 Petty Roadrunner is a brand new kit from Salvino JR Models. All new molds!
Thanks for the amazing trip to that show Mark, awesome people and way out of this world models there, love the engine details, hope to make it next year
Thanks brother!! Yes sir, both of those were outstanding! The 1/12 scratch built IMSA Vette Won Best of Show and the Excellence in Modeling awards. Tons of great builds there and a lot of fun!
@@MarkBatsonHobbydude007 I haven't managed to make my way much further into the video (I'll get to the end eventually) after trying to soak in all of the craftsmanship and detail that went into building that 'Vette :D So many awesome builds (that Bill Elliot Thunderbird) and I can imagine the fun* What I really like though is the refreshing variety and I don't know, unusual...atypical? takes like the 612 or the Bosozuku Superbird or the DTM Mustang. Which was really neat to still recognize what the model is, because it's a car I saw race back in the day for real and it was so memorable among a sea of M3s and 190Evos. *Fun that comes with the hangover of having to explain the to the missus why one just had to have those kits and parts. Ofcourse there's always the people at the shows that make going worthwhile and an enjoyable experience.
I'd love to see a big show like ACME here in Central New York State...I've heard about a model show in the spring in Utica NY which is about 45 minutes to an hour drive east from where I am in Syracuse NY..
Any good finds in the swap meet??.. I went to the train show here in Syracuse Saturday and I think I made out pretty good!!. I picked up 4 kits for $60!!.(1.lindberg 35 Auburn Boattail Speedster,2.AMT 58 Edsel Pacer,3.Monogram 58 T Bird and 4.Monogram 91 Corvette ZR1)..
Enjoyed your video very much. I miss NNL East in my former home NJ, I REALLY miss the vendors- here in the Daytona Beach area, I have no idea when and where the nearest model car shows are....if you know of any I'd be grateful for a heads up...
Thanks Thomas!! Hope you plan now for the Atlanta show next year! Well worth the trip! If I remember correctly there is a pretty big show in the Tampa area this coming weekend as well as Jaxcon up in Jacksonville in January or February.
Thanks Thomas! Got to disagree with ya on this one brother. Like any model kit it had to be engineered and manufactured. Yes, it is brass, stainless, aluminum, resin and plastic and it’s all manufactured from scratch. Like any model kit it has to be cleaned, prepped, primed and painted then assembled, as with any other model kit. Let’s just agree to disagree my friend! LOL Have a great week!!
Thanks my friend!! Not sure I totally agree. I’ve been doing shows and swap meets all over the southeast and some in the midwest since the mid-1980s. While some things/areas have changed a little, overall I think things are looking pretty good. Good news, one of the themes for the Southern Nationals in Atlanta this year is pickup trucks! I’m really looking forward to it! Have a great weekend!!

Only 6:18 into the video and someone's made a model of the Ferrari 612 Can Am car...that is cool. The IMSA Vette next to it, wow...astonishing.

When showcasing the cars, hold still for one second. One second. Count in your head, "onethousandone", then move on.
Thanks
Interesting that any truck models are few and far between. Sad that the hobby is not what it used to be.
