Spot on Sam, on your summary of Ben's general attitude, esp while he was on cocaine, but once he moved onto the cheaper ice, he had lost control of his life. Whenever he stopped taking it he would feel immense shame and despair about what he had done, and feel totally inadequate in a changed world. Hence the easiest way to cope, is to leave the real world, and return to the completely unrealistic world of drugs.
Praise God that his recent prison sentence seems to have helped him to re develop his character, and l am very proud that the Eagles have remained involved. Please God help keep Ben strong and determined to remain clean, and redevelop his life, into something he can be proud of.
