The "Science Student" makes reference to the fact that the youths today no longer get high on the drugs available they have started mixing different combinations like science students! It was controversial when it came out because of the feeling the song was promoting drug abuse.Olamide's fed off that and the song made so much wave.When the video came out, he set the record straight by telling the youths to stay off drugs...SAY NO TO DRUGS!Don't be a science student!! Kosewe!!!

The song created a controversy and was actually banned because the lyrics look like they’re promoting drugs.
In street lingo, a science student is somehow who mixes several drinks together akin to a science lab.
However Olamide came out and spoke about how the lyrics spoke to Saying No to drug and Alcohol abuse.
The video was his way of setting things straight.

alex ofori it’s the lyrics. Most of his lyrics are very risqué. Banning songs doesn’t work in Nigeria because the NBC only has power over the terrestrial stations like NTA, AIT, etc. Most Nigerians consume their music from satellite stations on DSTV like Soundcity, MTV Base, etc.
In the end, the banning is purely academic.
@@oaktv7890 The organization has to banned songs that portrays too much of negative influence but it doesn't mean they don't like it. Its one of the reason why organizations exist .......since kids also listen to it.
