    Pretty sure that Yasin snuck out in secret, without his parents knowing about it.

    I use to work in a hospital for many years. Mostly elderly patients on my floor.
    It wasn't unusual for patients to quietly leave the floor and get out of the building without anyone noticing.
    Happened all the time...

    This is the episode, I started to take notes. And I was still confused by the final episode, even after talking to colleagues, who worked on the show in the editorial. Jantje and Bo‘s brains are enigmas to me.
    But you are on the right track: It’s all connected.

    Totally normal for German kids to go to school by themselves, and because of that I could imagine some being frustrated because they can't anymore.

    This show is a love it or hate it.
    In my house I was the only one who could stick with this because if you aren’t paying attention you are going to get confused. But if you aren’t tapped in, you’re just going to get frustrated.
    You have 22 episodes left and trust me, they don’t let off the pedal.

    Love any show that slips some Fever Ray into their soundtrack.

    I was a kid in the 70's and teen in the 80's, and yes parents absolutely let their kids go to school by themselves walking or riding bikes, even when a kid in town was kidnapped or otherwise went missing. The general attitude back then was we taught *our* kid right, so that won't happen to ours. So I have no problem with the parents in Stranger Things; that is as real as it was back then. But Dark is set in multiple time periods; if I remember right, Michel was from the 2000's? Helicopter parents were a thing by then in the US, but this is set in Germany so maybe not there yet. Loved your indignation about it, though. Lol :) This really makes me want to go back and watch it a third time. X)

      The only reason my mother took me to the school bus the first two years was that we had to walk out of town for ten minutes and the bus station was at a road where the cars usually sped.

    That teacher isn't going to ask Magnus what class he's supposed to be in? And just ignores him leaving right after Franziska? 🤦‍♀️

    This is probably my favorite episode of this season and definitely the one I reference the most when talking about the ending of the show.

      4:58 this here estabishes very well that Mikkel is gone for 1.5 days; meaning that all the events of 1x03 happened simultaneously to the events of 1x02; some people miss it and assume we didn't follow the events of the 2019 timeplane for a day

      then again the dates of the wildlife cam are sadly off; not sure why by they say something along the lines of Oct 26th although Charlotte reacts as if they said Nov 4th; there is a similar production error later on with the police sketch of Noah that is dated to Nov 4th although thi is Nov 6th and the sketch is made after Elli's encounter in this episode

      so in German the idiom of the golden thread is a red thread; the idiom originates from something Goethe wrote about the ropings of the British navy. He did so in his novel Elective Affinities... and that is exactly the novel discussed in Franziska's class when Magnus joins in

      14:30 so there is an interesting tidbit; if you listen carefully here it actually sounds like two different actors speak the lines here;
