  • Talking about Pirates..Peter Tosh Teaching & speaking truth about Colonial Imperialistic shitstem that´s been ruling and robbing the resources of Jamaica & other world too blood claat long! System that controls politics, religion & economy. Lot about subjects that r still current today like police brutality for smoking ganja (marijuana) and asking why there´s only poor people in jail.He is also Demanding the goverment(Prime minister & leader of opposition were in the audience)to do something about these issues. Lot more too like why there´s not warning signs in the cigarette boxes in 3rd world countries like the way they have in Europe& America (for example:cigarette smoking is dangerous)

    Sadly this still applies today.
    It is such strong powerful speech that speaks to the heart of injustice. Everyone is crying out for peace. No one is crying out fpr justice.

    I have listened to this speech over and over again in 2020 and it is as as inspiring, powerful and relevant today as it was then. He had the courage to speak the truth. He was brutalized for it, but he never bowed to the shitstem and kept his dignity until the very end. No amount of brutality diminished his spirit. LEARN THAT. LOVE YOU PETER. RIP my brother.

    Mr. Winston Hubert McIntosh was an incredibly brave, intelligent and inspirational man. He was murdered in early 1987 and I remember exactly what I was doing when I got word of his death. I was in the kitchen trying to light the kerosene heater. The deejay, Annie, at WTOS-FM in Skowhegan, Maine, was crying. Peter Tosh meant an awful lot to a lot of people all over the world, including places he had never even been, like Maine.

    "I am not a politician, but I suffer the consequences..." true that. CIA got him in the end, but he lives on with messages that are still so relevant and uplifting today.

    In Vivien Goldman's book "The Book of Exodus: The Making & Meaning of Bob Marley & the Wailers Album of the Century" she describes how Peter was arrested, then beaten to a pulp in the cell. The police called Bob to come & get him. Bob took one look at him lying on the floor in a pool of blood & started crying. (Bob said later that he was so bad beaten that he didn't recognize his friend.) Bob threatened to sue, the police said he was called to get the message - he was next if this went further.

    @KingRhaul I agree with the I about Rita Marley. Bob basically said, "Rita, you can have the big house with the solid gold bathroom fixtures. I will take my pay in beautiful women. " Seen? lol.

  • @KingRhaul
    @KingRhaul 15 лет назад

    i know but why would manley and seagal want marley's endorsement? why would they want to trick marley into playing in their support instead of distancing themselves from him? marley was a man of the people and love by the people regardless of what they thought of the music and they understood that
