you have thought about so many different scenarios when putting this together, its so well thought out and when you slid your work bench in the car it was so perfect. what a kiler setup man. you've given me a bunch of ideas. Thanks a bunch
Very nicely done. Cleaver design overall and well executed. I especially like the reinforcing of the car seat backs to maximize utility and minimize wear and tear. The portable work bench, and giving props to Polk, is great. I'm absolutely going to steal some of your ideas and it gives me food for thought about a few of my own. Again well done!
Wow, absolute space efficiency. Even have the efficiently packed small hatchback to go with it! I love how much though you put into every cubic meter of space.
Fantastic video!! I've been setting up my retirement shop for the last year. I went from a 25'x30' (750sq ft) shop with a separate lumber storage shed and finishing shed to a 12x28 (330sq ft) shop. Finding video and seeing how others save space and stay organized is beyond helpful!! Thanks for sharing your shop with us!!!
LOVE the track saw parallel guides.. Having watched the Woodpeckers video on their insanely expensive, and diabolically slow to set up, offering it's good to see that sanity prevails elsewhere..
Cheers! Yes, as much as I wanted a set of parallel guides I just couldn't justify spending that much for them. These do the job perfectly and didn't have to spend any money so I'm not complaining :D
So jealous of your table saw setup! Definitely going to have to upgrade mine - you must be able to cut large pieces. I have a track saw but I find the table saw so much more convenient
Thanks for sharing! This is a very entertaining clip. All your gadgets are well thought out and functioning against small work space. Keep up woodworking sir!
I appreciate all of this so much. Amazing practicality and efficient use of space. If all humans were intelligent enough to operate this way the world would be a far better place. Cheers
Great work and efficient use of space! Alas, though separated by an ocean, you def give me some good ideas to use while setting up my own fun woodwork space. Particularly, the folding outfeed/multipurpose bench is such a wonderful concept. On to the first vid in the series. Thanks so much!
Really nice. I enjoy this setup because i've the same type of workshop and need space to put my bike in after working ! Relly good inspiration for me. Ty for sharing.
@@TheOffcut sorry i use the wrong word. I'm french and a biker it's a motorcycle man. So i use bike instead of motorcycle :/ and 270kg to hang up it's heavy ^^
You can switch the storage top of the CT15 with the Hose Garage from the Mini/Midi. Simple to do, just a few screws to undo and makes a huge difference. Only thing is there will be a hole on the side where the filter would go for the Mini/Midi. I covered it with some green frog tape and it's fine.
I did see that. Though after seeing the price for it I realised I should have just gone for the CT MIDI to get the foot brake, anti static hose, and bluetooth along with the hose garage.
@@TheOffcut if you want all those features then definitely. You can’t beat the price of the ct15 tho and at $50-$60 extra for the garage it’s a solid alternative.
Nice set up, thanks for taking the time to share it with us.......... Now I'm turning sooo green with envy! I have a two car garage that im using as a shop and am struggling with organisation and space (especially as all the unwanted house clutter ends up in the garage... My shop😡)
I work exclusively out of my van at the moment and probably for the forseeable future, and I'm about to redo my van fitout for some better practicality, its pretty ramshackle at the moment and I've run out of space for new tools; my new Milwaukee pin gun is just flying around in the back at the moment, so some of these ideas are just what I need. Very clever indeed!
👍🏼Hi.What plywood are you using for your clever jigs etc? The construction ply commonly available at bunnings and mitre10 are often so warped you could use them as propellor blades.
I know this is off-topic, but I just stumbled upon this video out of nowhere, and seeing you use guide connectors I can't pass up this question. How do you prevent connected Makita guides from bending in use? I use them A LOT and my process is always full of untightening, straightening, and then tightening again. Seeing you casually dropping that thing on plywood and pulling it towards yourself between two anchor points makes my PTSD flare-up.
I use a long straight edge to make sure the 2 tracks are straight before tightening down the connecting rods, then after that they don't really move. I haven't had any issues with it flexing or anything at the joint.
@@TheOffcut huh... mine go crooked no matter how tight I fasten them. What's even worse is that sometimes they go out of whack WHILE I tighten them. Maybe it's the length of the entire assembly that's the problem - I have two 6 feet ones (usually have to work with large sheet stock). Every time I pick em up without proper care I have to readjust everything.Such a bummer :(
Great workshop setup! But I have quite a weird question - where do you buy the spare leads for your Pullman pencil? I have a pair of such pencils but can't find a spare leads for them...
Haha that is a great question. I have gone through a few of these pencils now. They were a great find. But I do not know where to get ore leads for them sadly. I'm onto my last one!
@@TheOffcut Hi! I have finally found spare leads for Pullman pencils. As no commercial links are allowed in comments, I have send some links to your mail. Hope they might be helpful!
Great video! Really like the table saw extension, and could use that in my shop as well, as it's about the same width as yours. Re the hinges - were you able to find a source in New Zealand for those? Or just via the 'zon? I'm in Auckland as well, stuck at home. Ka kite.
Woah! Love that pull out you have with the table saw! There's a take home for me already, and I'm half way through! Clever worktable set up :) I might yoink a couple of those ideas :D

FYI festool makes a hose garage for the ct15 that you can buy and add on to it, saw it the other day online
I considered getting one but for the price of them here in New Zealand it wasn't worth it. I could have got the CT MIDI for just a bit more.
Some very clever ideas there keep it up bud we all like an organised work space. 👍
Very efficient shop layout and I love the mods you made to the RP bench

Your carpentry materials are really great, I love it.
Props on some solid and simple solutions to your production process! I’ve subscribed and look forward to more of your brilliance.

Great use of space. Im actually thinking of copying your layout in my garage as it has almost the same footprint. Keep making!!

Proof that you don't need a large space to start woodworking.. just a few tools and determination
the lesser the space, the more determination haha

I am wondering what is a size of your shop?
3m x 6m
@@TheOffcut Thanks. I am starting to build mine. It will be 9 m²
Muy chevere, gracias
Drill holes so you can spin that other track around. Then the two splice rods won’t keep poking you
Then they will poke me on the other side? Haha, they don't really get in the way. Plus they make it easy to pull the track out
You do know that the top of the shop vac lifts up right
I do
@@TheOffcut that's where the hose is meant to go, so no need for the wooden thing
@@alisterkelly4052 Not for the CT15. It only fits the power cord. Every other model has space for the hose.
