    Why does this guy who has near 0 subscribers, comes from nowhere and who I discovered by mistake by watching weird-ass music videos makes among the best music related contents on youtube. Like, where do you even come from ? That's amazing.

    • @duffman18
      @duffman18 4 месяца назад +3

      I know right. He should have millions of subscribers. His videos are all so damn great and cover topics that nobody else seems to, and he has his own unique style of video making that isn't just trying to ape the style of a bigger youtuber, like all the sad acts trying to impersonate Mr Beast.

    My god dude, the editing / production of these videos, how much effort and research you do, your funny but importantly not annoying, smooth ass voice, I hope you get the recognition you deserve. Some of the best content on this site and seriously impressive from a currently small creator. I'll share your vids around a bit, keep up the great work 👍

    You should check out literally all of Blind Willie Johnson's discography. He was earlier than Calloway, and was known to be loud as hell, so he could be heard from far away when singing on the street corner.

      Five songs of his, "Dark Was the Night, Cold Was the Ground", "I Know His Blood Can Make Me Whole", "If I Had My Way I'd Tear the Building Down" ("Oh Lord If I Had My Way", "It's Nobody's Fault but Mine", "Jesus Make Up My Dying Bed", were recorded December 3rd, 1927, and while his voice isn't high pitched, I would call it screaming.

      @@jaydeem1264 What? When did I say "copying"? All I did was paraphrase the thing he said at the moment I timestamped. Go listen to it yourself. He clearly states that the info is all from this one article he links after dragging out the drama of a fictious "hunt" he was on. I wasn't making any claim of "copying", I mean he compiled the footage and wrote and recorded a script, transforming the information of the article into a different medium. It's just annoying to me that it has to be put into this fake premise to keep people engaged and pad out the runtime with meaningless fluff in order to appease a blackbox algorithm.

    • @jaydeem1264
      @jaydeem1264 3 месяца назад

      @cosmicbreakfast I get it and I agree. I used the word copying because I felt really misled by the video. Having only one source is pretty bad form. The rest of his stuff is well researched from what I see, I assumed that he did the research for this one because that's how he does every other video (his Tommy Wiseau and Elvis impersonator video is framed the same way and seems to be genuine)

    I'm surprised you didn't mention Brian Elliott from Cromagnon. On their album Orgasm released in 1969, later re-released as Cave Rock in 1973. On the song Caledonia he performs the very first Black Metal style shriek. Cromagnon essentially invented Black Metal before metal was even invented.

    How in the bollocks of hell do you not have way way more subscribers? Your videos are all completely unique, I've never seen videos like this elsewhere on RUclips, and they're all so highly professionally made, and you're naturally funny and witty, you're extremely knowledgeable and clearly do a buttfuck-ton of research, and you edit them so professionally.
    And you throw in little jokes that most people probably wouldn't even notice. Like you played the Mr Bean TV show theme tune in this video for a brief few seconds, and I've seen you do it in other videos too like I think the Elvis impersonators one. Just little clever jokes like that. Maybe everyone else didn't notice, but _I_ noticed, and it's hilarious lol. It's never a bad idea to use a bit of Mr Bean when you can.

    22:05 - talking about Quality Music while posting a clip of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is probably one of the most mic-droppingly gigachad moves one can make.
    I had to pause the video and make sure it's THE MAN - so surprised I was that anyone discussing pop music would venture that far into.... well whatever we actually landed at.
    And I have to disagree on the Best Scream. I'd likely go for one of Eric Adams' screams in his prime - live of course. Dark Avenger would be my pick. And hell, he can still pull it off AT 70.

  • @ultralance

    Naw, the best musical screaming is some of Nick Cave's early work with The Birthday Party. That or maybe Blixa Bargeld of Einsturzende Neubauten - in general, Industrial and Post-Punk has more interesting screaming than metal, in my opinion.
