I love these modern takes on traditional slipjoints. Such a sleek design. Edit: Also, I always knew you were a superhero. NoHandSweatMan, dry slapping criminals one day at a time.
The only superpower it gives me is to constantly static shock myself when it's cold out. I've actually made my phone reset twice this winter just touching it.
Leave it to the Italians to take it to the next level. Super slick pocket clip. I would not be surprised if we do not see this popping up in other manufactures.
I own one of these (in orange) and cannot but agree with all you said in your review. It's a pleasure to carry and offers excellent value for money, in fact when I showed it to a friend the first thing he said was 'That must be a very expensive piece' ;-)
Great review Bryan...personally, I like the bright colors although I agree that sometimes it can cheapen the looks. I don’t see that in this knife...it just looks classy.
Thanks for the review! I've definitely had my eye on this knife. Now I just need to decide whether I like this or the Shuffler better, I really like what LionSteel is doing with modern traditionals.
Oh, and my Lionsteel Clipjack is freaking fantastic. The M390 used is unbelievably good. I know that some well intentioned people made some mistakes in their attempts to test HRC by themselves, and caused a lot (a LOT) of damage for Lionsteel and CollectorKnives, hopefully people know by now that Lionsteel's M390 is excellent, and they can buy without fear.
@Sublyme Who was that? The place where I saw the issues were sending their knives to be professionally tested, every other knife came back accurate (close to advertised hrc), the only ones that didn’t (aside from some Chinese knives) were some lionsteel knives. Would be very interested to know if this stuff was proven to be mistakes on the part of the testers.
I love the idea of the pocket clip, but my LionSteel ROK had a really weak spring, and so the knife would slip out of the pocket quite easily, especially when I laid down on the couch. That's probably the one thing keeping me from buying one...
That QSP Worker is a brilliant knife! I haven’t got one of these (yet), but it’s a lovely looking knife. I’m trying to stick to traditionals, but this is tempting me! I like that the engineering is there, but not on show. You have to look for it.
The G-Slip is really nice. I have one with micarta scales that's an exclusive and I ordered during a special and got it for $40. Killer knife for that price.
I was really "Thrilled" with mine (green one) until yesterday when the already light spring tension essentially VANISHED! It instantly became a gravity knife in reality; I can flip it open and closed -- not cool! I'm waiting to hear from customer service. They give a four day window for response and "approval" to return, then I have to pack it up and ship to Italy etc. Never expected such a straight forward knife to break under fidget knife only in a manner of months.
Does the clip have a lot of play on your version as well? Mine is quite wobbly and can rotate along the push button / screw axis by a few degrees. So much so, that the clip can pertrude about half way past its milled recess
Not into slip joints, but this is pretty classy. Like the pocket clip design, had been trying to think of a design to have the pocket clip mold into the handle.
Take a look at the Geo Schrade Wire Frame Pocket Knife patented in 1926, this Lionsteel Thrill is the exact same idea that George had almost 100 years ago.
I realize this is old as hell 😂 but I’m considering one of these. The prices haven’t gone down any so they still expensive especially for titanium. I’m curious what do you think about the steel. Another reviewer said lionsteel m390 is on the soft side and don’t hold an edge as well as other m390. I didn’t know if that was true or if that’s changed over the last couple years also I’ve got a spyderco in maxamet that didn’t hold like it should but I found out like many production knives it had a slightly burned edge from power sharpening from factory and after a new edge was put on it’s amazing holds an edge like no other.
Did Slicey Dicey just drop a "Not that there's anything wrong with that" in a knife review!? 🤣🤣🤣 J/K. I dig the shape, but I would rather see that exact same profile, size and design in a CF liner lock. That would be a definite buy for me.
One thing that always struck me as odd about the community ire over LionSteel m390 is that, at the same traditional knife price point, your option is 1095... sooo... like same
While I’m not personally interested in something like this (I prefer more traditional styling for my slip joints, such as the other LS slipjoints), I don’t think that any disputing that this is probably the single most interesting, and arguably coolest, slipjoint on the market.
I’m going to Italy over the summer and I’m looking for a new slip joint knife to take with me and I’m choosing between this Lionsteel, the CIVIVI Rustic Gent, and the Real Steel Luna. Which should I chose? Price isn’t an issue
As much as I like a lot of lionsteels designs, I cant get past the terrible heat treating of their blades. People have had lionsteels tested at 52 HRC and had blades cut less that 50 feet of cardboard before becoming completely dull
More knife companies need to use this clip system, this will make it so much more comfortable to use.

@@SliceyDicey Well...good thing you aren't a phone reviewer!
@@josephfitz-junkrat7727 HA!!!! I used to be!!!
@@SliceyDicey Congrats on 12.5k subs!
I've always dreamt of having a pocket clip like that on a knife. I can't believe someone actually did it!
Definitely digging the red!! Would look pretty awesome in bronze as well!! That pocket clip is pretty cool! Thanks for the review Bryan!
BigRedEDC I was about to comment JB will love it! Being in the UK, the red’s a bit too socialist for me!
@@slick_slicers I definitely do like it!!!

Pretty unique features on this one ! Good review, thanks for sharing !👍👍
5:00 “Spyderco Full Size Griptilian” 😂
Bryson Hawkins lmao. He actually says spyderco. Benchmade is mad hha
So called because of the spydie hole for deployment...
I mean, classic color for SAKs and great for finding on ground easily if dropped..
Very nice, really modern twists for a slip joint.
That's a sweet modern traditional! The design is outstanding!
Beautiful modern slip joint, the spring and pocket clip take it to another level. I've been following Kwon for quite sometime.
Thanks for the comment about M390. I am considering getting this knife but held back because of M390 critiques I heard. I guess you are okay with it.
Of all the slipjoints I would buy, this is the one, if I had the money! That pocket clip design is just awesome! 👍🏻
I do find that clip impressive.

Have the orange one. Love it. Love it. Love it.
Digging that. I’m getting the black aluminum one
Nice knife. Not big on slip-joints but I would rock it.

Cameron Dunn I love the Dom!

Almost bought this several times now. I like the red. I may still get one.
I like the red too, it looks sick
Did u end up buying it?
@@prod.deathwish yep. It’s great just like all lion steel I have

Absolutely stunning knife one of the ones I definitely want to get for myself

Great Video, just got mine in from BladeHQ and like it but that pocket clip will take some getting used to. Feels great though🏝🍻
That red is nice. The louder the better is my motto!
Very...Very good looking Knife!!!
I’m going to go with the bronze one. Probably at the end of the month. Hopefully they don’t sell out 🤞🏻
I like bright red- it’s easy to find when I forget where I put my knife down.
Very cool classy knife, great review... they should make an Italian flag colored version. 🇮🇹 🤣
Take a look at the Geo Schrade Wire Frame Pocket Knife patented in 1926, this Lionsteel Thrill is the exact same idea that George had almost 100 years ago.
That is a good looking knife. Maybe overengineered. The price isn't to bad for a Lionsteel Slipjoint. Thanks for showing it.
Thanks for the review. Does Lionsteel make anything like this that is not a slipjoint?
If they gave it micarta with wood inlay, it’d belong in a museum
Not a big fan of the color but definitely a big fan of the design. Thanks for sharing bud always a pleasure.
This really is compelling I was kinda over the slip joint trendiness BUT this knife Especially at its price comparably is amazing.
nice to see a knife that would be legal EDC in the UK
Dang it Slicey, I don't have enough money haha. So many of your reviews leave me itching to buy...
Another great review, great looking product.

Love this knife! I need one
Lovely knife, thanks for sharing 👊🏻🤓🤘🏻
I wish someone would come out with a nice affordable slip joint. I really like the concept, but they are all so expensive. That is a beautiful knife.
Stay tuned next week for the Real Steel GSlip
I wonder if you look at the spring on the aluminum compared to the titanium if they are milled different due to the different steel
Great design. I bought one in OD green and love it. How can you go wrong with an Integral in M390?
Frank Salem I just bought the same model. Wasn’t sure about the slipjoint because I’m a klutz but I really am loving it.
Red is my number one. And I only have one knife in that color. Which is over half this price lol. I want the rok
I think the red looks cool
Looks thrilling
I kinda dig the red. I don't think I would carry it, but I dig it.

Mike Carroll I think the rustic gent is a lock back so I would not recommend that one if your going to need a slip joint.
the lionsteel is superb but i'd suggest the luna for the shorter blade. however best option may be a SAK or Opinel
If it weren’t a slip joint I would buy it right now.
Maybe I could convince my wife to carry the red one; seems to match the red Olight baton and she carried that daily.
this or the mkm fara?
M390, super slicey thin behind the edge. For 120$ no brainer.Add all Lionsteel ingenuity put in this knife go buy one one it’s a steel!!
I just got my Thrill in the mail....and it’s the red one.....and no, you CAN’T tear a corner off my man card.
A classic SAK is red - so...???
Wow very impressive. I may have just seen the next knife I need.
Victim is an interesting choice of words.
This or the Dom...hmm...I like em both
Anyone test the steel yet?
I would like to have red nothing wrong with that color

Thank you for accommodating us men who like wearing red lipstick
I'm gay
Yeah boring grey titanium is the only color knives should be. Damn kids.
Hypermodern slipjoint!
Slip joint bugout
It’s to match your Ferrari.
What's wrong with the "red?" It's Italian. If I could afford it, I'd only get a Ferrari in RED!
Me too! But this is a knife. Not a car.
