The most sombre, forlorn, and brief, of Bach's cello suites, thereby, not because of brevity, but of punch, one of the most powerful in its honesty, beauty and isolation.
Hi, Dru, What do you mean by "this piece"? If you mean't Casals' performance you should most probably contact the company that had released the CD containing this work and they will OK it for you. The composition itself is a public domain, but probably not the performance. Of course, even the performance itself is so old that the chances somebody would give you trouble for using it is almost nil. You obviously realize that 99% percent of the content of youtube is, technically speaking, illegal Good luck, Dimiter
There will never be any word, poem, that will express what this thing that i dont know how to call, does...

No, Swedish (Through a Glass Darkly by Ingmar Bergman).
Is this a Russian movie? Emotionally striking. Like Tarkovsky movies...
Bergman was
Tarkovsky's influence, and Bergman admired Tarkovsky immensely.
I was hoping to use this piece for a non-profit student film.. could you please tell me who owns the rights or is it in the public domain. thanks.

PS. It is EMI classics that probably has the copyright of the recording.
According to >Classic Foreign Films< by James Reid Paris, Janus holds the rights to >Through a Glass Darkly
