Singapore Airlines from New York to Singapore (Part 1)

- My flight from New York to Singapore on Christmas Eve night.
The 747 landed in Frankfurt to refuel before flying nonstop to Singapore.
The totoa flight hour was approximately 22 hours.
Singapore Airlines puts mistletoes on the sides of the planes during year end season (Christmas time). A nice little touch.

Singapore Airlines, one of the last to understand that attractive, warm, feminine hostesses make for a pleasant flying experience. What a concept.

@bookieboy It's flown by an A340-500 now...non-stop 18 hr 40min flight.
At 1:13 I'm pretty sure I heard the announcement say "Welcome aboard Singapore Airlines"...

@bookieboy The A380 will replaced the B747 next year, in the Spring I think. If you look it up, the equipment is now listed as A380 for JFK-FRA-JFK :)
Hey People! This is Singapore(SIN) - New York(JFK) via Frankfurt(FRA) which fly by B747 or A380 not Singapore(SIN) - New York(EWR)(The world's longest route) which fly by A340-500
and don't ask about it anymore! I think you know what's the difference between (JFK) and (EWR) OK?
Look at 1:15. Unless my ear has problems, it said "Welcome on board Singapore Airlines..."

@maloy7800 this would be a very old video. SQ did have economy but got rid of them later.

What Year was this & the Registration of the aircraft? I think SQ planned a second daily flight SIN - JFK but via LHR in around 2000.
Unfortunately, I do not have the registration number. But, this video was taken in 2009.

I'm surprised that they still used the old B744s for this route.... When will they ever change to the A380s or B773s for this sector? I've flown on their B744s and the seats were cramped as hell! Very little leg-room... At least their service was good though....
@antimatterXXXIII Yes, I know I have been to Singapore many times. My Mandarin is very good! But, still I would not have the nerve to speak it on youtube...
How can this be SQ21? SQ21 is an all business class A340. This is an economy class cabin which doesn't exist on SQ21 flight.
@fuzzypaws17 Well I'll bet your Chinese is a notch below perfect itself. In Singapore they speak multiple languages.
