The only one who I think tops him in the hair department is fern but that is just because they have basically the same hair only fern’s is made of flowers.
Ok I think what they're saying is that they need to improve themselves before they even think of dating anyone, let alone each other. That or I'm reading too deep into the nonsense of Ooo
I think she meant that they're both too exceptional to be together. They need ordinary partners to dull their shine and make them look ordinary. That is the secret of ordinary people.
I believe what the statement was trying to empart is that as exceptional individuals they are bound for greatness, however this means they are also solitary creatures since a normal life would inevitably clash with and cut into what they as individuals are so great at on their own. Tldr: huntress wizard believes while both are viable romantic options, romance will inevitably cut away from their own personal successes and experiences in life
She means that only ordinary people can fall in love, and that beast like them can't really comprehend or should bow to it. That is what makes them exceptional and different. As we see, Jake and Finn have a different experience with love and relationships. Jake only wishes to live a life of happiness and adventure, and fall in love. Whereas Finn, can't. It only holds him back. However, for Jake, it builds him up into the person he is. A loving Husband, father, and brother. It only makes Finn miserable. I hope what I'm saying makes sense.
I could really relate to what she said, she also says "hard meat don't get eat" in this episode . she wants to stay hard so she can continue to be self sufficient and survive. If she falls in love she might go soft because she depends on someone else and has a weakness in that the other person is capable of truly hurting her. So she stays alone so that she never has to risk experiencing that pain. If Finn left her or died after she fell for him she is worried she might not have the skills she had before she met him to survive on her own. Also if they get together there is a risk that they may get too comfortable around each other and stop seeing each other as exceptional and one or both of them might fall out of love, which would be sad.
Yeah it worked, just not romantically in an ordinary world. That's because she's not human and they are in ooo, judging a show on the basis of our own real world is boring
They're together, they're just not dating traditionally! They're both independent people living their own lives, but they always come back together! Most people expect to do everything together and live together, etc - they're just dating in a less traditionally perceived way! Kind of like long distance dating, in a way.
I like to think she realized that being with someone didn't make her any less an 'exceptional beast' or make her meat soft. And yes, I know how that sounds. Weirdly felt more appropriate for the tone of the show to leave it that way.
I hated how badly the writers fumbled the love stories of Finn. With bubblegum, it was understandable, with flame princess, it was just annoying, this just felt like kicking him while he was down.
I like that finn isn’t obsessive or expects things to go directly romantic. It’s just a such an overused trope in cartoons, that the main character throws out any logic or manners as soon as they like someone. Also finns emotional growth **chefs kiss**
People being on jake's side. What she meant is that their are strong already, and together they would be stronger, but also weaker from each other. A common weakness for a hero is the risk of loosing the ones you love. Plus you risk getting soft and wanting to settle down. The world they are in needs them in their prime more than they need each other
I think a lot of people are missing the point. Finn saying "I agree" and Jake being confused to with whom he agrees with isn't only a joke, but as a double meaning the show is trying to say both of them are right. Love can make someone become soft, and too comfortable to pursue goals, but isn't being afraid of falling in love already a weakness? Well both sides (The Huntress' and Jake's comment) are regarded as true, because people are individuals, and strive for different things, on different paths.
Well the thing is, they just weren't dating in a traditionally accepted way that most view it - they both live independent lives doing their own things, and stay in touch and see each other when they both have the time and are around, but it's not this codependent thing that modern relationships are, where people feel like they have to be together in EVERYTHING they do. They don't have to go on adventures together, they don't have to live together - they know that their lover is out there doing their own thing, and they'll see each other when fate's wind blows them back to the same place at the same time. They're both very free-willed and move around 'as the wind blows', in that sense. They're in love, but don't want to tie the other down from living their life!
The point was something along the lines of them being who they are because they have committed themselves to their role, i.e. champion and huntress. She worried that if they became attached they'd grow soft together and lose who they were apart. It makes sense, and it's cool that they had a couple episodes where you got to see them be committed to each other without losing that sense of independence they both shared. My only regret is that we never got an episode of what Finn's life was like towards the end. I would have loved to see what their dynamic would have flourished into.
doesn't make sense to me. if this is the moral they were going for it would be kind of a weird moral too. why teach children that being together with someone you love makes you less exceptional somehow. also Jake and Finn are co-depended. if anything it makes them more exceptional.
@downey2294 The moral is it's ok to have different forms of relationships. Finn and Huntress are together, just not the same way Bubblegum and Marcy are, and they aren't together the way Jake and Lady are, or Mr. Pig and Trunks, or Finn's parents, or Jake's parents, and so on. All them them have different types of relationships. Jake didn't live with Lady all the time. Finn doesn't either. They still hang out. They are still a couple. They just spend most of their time alone. Many animals are monogamouse but don't hang out together constantly.

She’s still hung up on her ex(?) and also working on herself, so she doesn’t feel like she can date anyone at that moment. Rebecca doing everything in her power so Finn can't be happy
She was Long gone from the show by this episode
“You have great hair”
EVERYONE: Well- Yeah- We can’t lie to that to be honest he really does have great hair-
I envy thar hair so bad dude no haircut or stylist can get you that hair fr
wish more people in society felt this way ! confronting at first but don’t we all just want to be who we are ! this how i feel this with most people but i guess not
huntress wizard's design is so pretty. i could treat her right
Jake: " Uh That's real Dumb"
Finn: "I agree"
Jake: "Wait you agree with me or her?"
The best part of Adventure Time was how real it was. It taught so many kids, pre-teens, teens, and young adults valuable life lessons from characters with real depth and wisdom
it feeos like Jake was watching a romance drama on tv lol
Omg jakes mouth kept getting lower 💀💀💀
Jake is the literally embodiment of our reactions.
finn passed from no bitches to getting all the baddies
Jake's just watching a novella
I was about to criticize this but I remembered that in their world you can only use magic as a wizard if you're unhappy. Finn and Nature Wizard rejecting each other only makes sense, its for the best.
Jake, who hasnt noticed that no one is paying attention to him through most of this scene.
This was the point in the show where I realized it wasn't worth watching anymore tbh.
“Uhh that’s *real* dumb”
Using my Bluetooth earbuds to listen to this and all I hear is "finn BATTERY LOW"
huntress is textbook philosophy blippity blap. jake is the rest of us.
Kinger glitching made me cackle😭
This just sounds like using a deep thought to say "I don't think we will work together"
Nah, she was saying in order for them to stay great and reach their full potentials they need to stay single to follow each of their own paths to success
I interpreted what Huntress was saying as a sorta “I like you too but I’m not ready to date other people yet” kinda thing. She’s still hung up on her ex(?) and also working on herself, so she doesn’t feel like she can date anyone at that moment. In Fiona and Cake it’s highly implied that they got together, so it can be assumed that she eventually sorted out her personal problems and she and Finn started dating once she did
