There's definitely opportunities to make use of spaces in many a town up and down the land. Hopefully councils will listen more to local people about what they'd like to happen, and how they'd like their public spaces used. Darlington was a lovely place when I went, and there is scope for further good things to happen too.

I'm North Eastern, been to Darlo many times, in fact, go regularly, I must've missed something though, when did it become a city ? 😅
It’s a market town. Can’t remember referring to it as a city but apologies if I did.
You should visit the place on a weekend at night. 😂

Darlington a 'market town' with the market square fenced off and seldom used--- no wonder the town center is dying!
