Videos like this one are the reason that I love this channel, I would have never heard of these boutique guitar builders without it. I'm a Fender/Jackson loyalist, but appreciate what these smaller builders provide for distinct (and fascinating) tastes.
I've seen Frank Brothers guitars factory in person, amazing team and the guitars are absolutely perfect! I'd love to own one someday. I saw a Tunatone once as well, and I loved it. Such a cool looking guitar with top-quality craftsmanship. It makes me proud to be Canadian!
Ok, I’m a nerd; I knew and follow 4 out of the 5 (#2 being the lone exception). Furthermore, I’ve LUSTED for a Fidelity JB Desert since they launched. Great episode man. -Aaron
I had heard of Tunatone from another RUclips channel before. Interesting. I think my next guitar will be a self build though. I like the idea of making something unique.
What did you miss? How about showing the head stock of all the guitars. One full guitar shot of each is mandatory. If head stock doesn't factor in, many of us would play G&l over Fender.
I'm doing something very interesting with a guitar build of my own cuz it's expensive to buy left-handed guitar and I play left-handed I'm building my own I'm building a tele out of a Bourbon Barrel head
You missed Gus Guitars on this one, though you may have covered this maker before. Simon Farmer is a freakin’ old school British genius! Anyway, how about a UK maker-specific version of this, possibly spilt two ways into boutique and production episodes?
Without exception all of them are eye catchingly cool looking... 'if you like that sort of thing' (I do)... but will the playability match up and will the novelty of the looks wear off. We can be so fickle when it comes to looks, can't we, blokes/blokettes, eh?
Austin from Trogly's Guitar show wouldn't like the Frank brothers' bodyshape. It kinda looks like the guitar which he's doing a giveaway for (can't remember the brand name) and he doesn't like that one. Edit: Yeah it's a Somnium Guitar, thanks aendrijae
Barring the Frank Brothers guitars and the Fidelity guitars which are decent all other guitars in this list look like gimmicky garbage. I'm not against custom guitars, on the contrary I absolutely adore high quality custom built guitars like the ones made by Conklin, Negrini, Mayones, Vigier, etc. But I absolutely detest the guitars in this list. These guitars in this video ain't high quality custom shop instruments, they are gimmicky, hipster garbage for goddamn hipsters who don't know a jack shit about high quality custom built guitars.
I have always been told, "if you can't say anything nice, don't say nothing at all). With said, I'm sorry to say but those guitars are a whole lot of ugly. Combine this with the first sentence and you can guess how I really feel about these instruments.

Millimetric and Daddy Mojo (DM electrics) are ones to check out.

I do too. But the $4000 price tag keeps me from buying one unfortunately. Just can't afford it.
That mosrite looking skateboard guitar looks the bobbins... 🏂🎸
Check out Morifone guitars from Montréal. Something REALLY innovative there.
What does it say about me if I was familiar with all these makers?
I'm doing something very interesting with a guitar build of my own cuz it's expensive to buy left-handed guitar and I play left-handed I'm building my own I'm building a tele out of a Bourbon Barrel head
I'm a fan of Kauer.
Any chance you guys might film your podcasts?

Gus guitars aren’t retro. Might talk about them on a modern guitar video though. 😊
Frank Brothers? Looks like the new Gibson shape haha

"If I missed something let me know"....LMAO, how are we supposed to let you know about something if we have never of it?

😮
Those are some truly fugly guitars. How about 5 boutique makers who are viable?

Why are you watching a video about retro guitars then? Seems a bit weird to me.
Yuck all of those are gross
“Well that’s just like, your opinion man” the dude
