a favorite . . . comes with perfect timing to put the bits of me that are stuck to the wallpaper from listening to Scambot, back where they belong. and in better order. this song has changed my life in ways tangible and ineffable. this is a song that wakes me at 4am, demanding I blast it
Love love love. Every single bit of this song does unexpected things that make me smile. I'm seriously having difficulty waiting to hear the rest of the album. Everybody: Mike and Bryan are touring in Dethklok again in October and November - look up the dates and get yer self there!
Champy Yone Mike! The cardboard fambly reminds one of "Madelline" and her travails... Really charming and effective work Nick Conedera! I'd love to see more in this direction.
ACK. - In fact, this one should have been on "Sluggo!" (or rather already on "hat.") as the soother. It's so beautiful and cathartic. "If life's a joke it's very very good" and what follows - makes me so smile :-))) Greetings from Canterbury!
I received Scambot w/ the wee anecdotal & informative bonus CD on Thursday last. It's a well constructed mutha! It's been spinning at RPMs approaching 7 or 8 Kilowobbles for 5 days almost exclusively!! With any new Keneally joint I'm always knocked out by Mike's 'hit' song craftsmanship. [It's to America's detriment, the fickle public's failing to properly elevate Mike Keneally's Popstar status]. Secondly MK's new songs get me practicing with more focus. Keneally=Head-Ripper!
Mike is one of the best allround musicians to come out of Zappa's band. If you're into good music check out other former band members like Adrian Belew, Terry Bozzio, Warren Cucurullo, Steve Vai...you'll not be disappointed. Try to listen to Mike's album "Boil that dust speck". it's amazing.
(6 years later) From what I can tell, yes. I was actually marveling at that. There's a bit towards the end where the "keyboard" slips, and I cannot be sure. seems random there. But generally, yes.
The standup bass is so good.
You can't tell me that this isn't an amazing song and music video. Deserves an award
I appreciate Mike (you) as much as anyone Ive ever appreciated as any other singular living musician that shared the world I live in (since FranK).
Sweet 🎉 Music And Beautiful Song Never Grow Old Then Never Die .. Always Remain like Sun And 🌝 🌞
God I love this song so so so very much.
Make your world of string and paper, send it past the rooftops...
*sigh*
It all sounded very Beatle-esque and then comes this awesome jazzy interlude at the end. That's genius. What a great little song.
In this video, you remind me of one of my favourites actors (Vincent d'Onofrio) in one of my favourite movies ("Happy Accidents").
GENIUS

What an incredible song. Thanks for being an uncompromising musician. Please make a video for Tomorrow.
