    *We liked it **Fastly.Cool** so much in the basement, we bought a second one for the main level. The amount of moisture it pulls out of the air is astonishing.*

    Just got my Frigidaire dehumidifier. Your video is so precise - a real godsend. Nothing in manual explained cleaning the bucket. Thank you! 👍🏼🥳

    I could not figure out how to open the reservoir on my Frigidaire dehumidifier to clean it. I finally found a clear explination in your excellent video. I hope you are all doing well.

    This is really helpful on how to get the bucket apart for cleaning! thank you! We use the pump on ours to pump the water out the window, and there was so much scum inside the bucket where the pump draws from that it wasn't pumping the water out anymore. Hopefully a good cleaning will fix it.

    Very great idea because some bathrooms do not have windows or exhaust vents and this is a good alternative way to do it. Thanks for the tips!

    Thank you for posting this! We have had our dehumidifier for a few years and using the instructions that came with it we could not figure out how to get the plastic top off to clean out the mildew that was building up. Your detailed instructions were so very very helpful. 👏👏👏 Well done!

    All went well until the tab on the grey wheel part snapped off. 😬 It’s all clean though (vinegar, Dawn and warm water soak worked) and I’m sure I can Macgyver it back in place. Looks like this model has been discontinued which is too bad because it works well. Thank you for posting this video because I wasn’t sure how to remove the lid. 🧐

    I have this dehumidifier in my basement and it’s hooked to my sump pump. I never noticed that before because I haven’t lived here that long. Does this when it’s on make noise like it’s running even if you reached the desired humidity or is it totally silent?

    What kind of brushes did you use to clean the dehumidifier? I used the product you suggested, but the orange "crud" that was on the bottom and sides of my dehumidifier did not come off (your video appeared to have an perfectly white container) and I used a number of different brushes to try and scrape it off. Thank you.

    • @NewParentsInTraining
      @NewParentsInTraining  4 года назад +2

      We used mainly Clorox Clinging Bleach Gel - amzn.to/2WXmrKm to get ride of most of the orange stuff. That works really really well, spread the gel to hard to get to areas then covered with hot water, leave it for 10 - 15 minutes. By then most of the stuff are out, then we finished cleaning it with an old toothbrush.

      @@NewParentsInTraining gross why? i just put a little dawn and peroxide in mine. really it doesn't matter since this part just catches the water and is separate from the part that the air goes through. which again i clean the filter with a little warm soapy water... bleach can eat through plastics esp. the styrofoam floater piece in the tank also why put chlorine in the air?

    • @EnochDark
      @EnochDark 3 года назад +1

      I don't recommend ANY brushing at all as this will just cause microscratching of the plastic and make a good home for more bacteria... Why do people not know about peroxide these days? Just soak it with a little warm water and a splash of peroxide... Spray out with sink sprayer or hose and boom, no more harmless algae to "worry" about.

    So I just got a dehumidifier the other day and I’ve been dumping it 2 times a day. I’ve noticed little black/brown particles and I don’t know if it’s mold or what. I assume it’s from the fan. I am trying to see if anyone has the same problem and I can’t seem to find anything on Google please help!
