I completly diagree with her. That scene and her flashback to losing her baby were so powerful. Also the scene when she thought she was getting her sight back.
She was too overdramatic to be honest. I found her acting to be very cringe and annoying. Really ruined the character and I always skip episodes with her cause she just ends up pissing me off
The real Mary Ingalls DID really go blind but, NEVER married or had children. Michael Landon took creative license with that aspect with the writing of the shows. Michael Landon did a lot of that on the series.
I’m glad that Mary Ingalls starts trusting Adam Kendall when she’s learned how to read and write in Braille, Mary Ingalls said that’s reading was her best subject at school 🏫, she’s and Adam Kendall fell in love 🥰. I remembered when Mary Ingalls first got to the blind school, she’s didn’t want to help herself and had so anger in her. I’m glad that Mary Ingalls still wants to be a teacher 👨🏫, since Adam Kendall asked her to go with him and help other kids. I love ❤️ Charles and Carolyn Ingalls went to see Mary Ingalls and fixed a big lunch 🥗 for them and talked about how being at the blind school helped her. Jennydebrier
I was told that the real Mary Ingalls wasn't married in real life. The main reason I love this show is because, it was a family show, but mainly I loved it cause it was based on the real Ingall's family. Why would they have her marry on the show if she wasn't married in real life?
Most of the episodes were made up. It was just "based on" the book. Why is it so important that they stick to the books? The show would have lasted maybe one year if they did.
There was a lot of artistic license taken with the show, especially politically. It was telling about stuff that happened in the 1800's through a 1970's social and political lens. A lot of stuff that happened on the show wouldn't have happened in real life then.
@@Ori0n1975 Yes but Krista doesn't like that Anything is made up. She has said so many times. Then there wouldn't have been a t.v. show at all Krista! Maybe just the pilot movie. That was very good.
It's true that the real Mary Ingalls never got married. I don't think blind people were really allowed to marry in those days. Helen Keller never could nor could Laura Bridgman.
Still just as beautiful as she was back then...
The background music in these 2 episodes is some of the best from the series.
great to see her talking about the show
She was always beautiful and still is!!!!
Well melissa sue you are gorgeous, a great actress and you still look marvelous.

@@madkittyjoey70 what would have prevented someone blind to not be able to marry?
The one thing with this episode that always struck me as odd was, why would anyone put a mirror in a blind person's room?
"Blind people watched me, hearing steps". She's full of sugar.
Melissa Sue Anderson Rules >>>>> Melissa Gilbert.
MSA was supposed to have been difficult to work with per the autobiographies of Melissa Gilbert and Alyson Ingram. What was going on?
No, hon, I don't. Merry Christmas!
Don't remember here ever walking with a cane.
Chris Mulwee There was one scene I remember when they were in Winoka where she used it.
Adam was the one that mostly used a cane.
She did it in only one episode.
Interesting how much, as an accompished actress, she studders.
