Ive been playing MMOs for.... Admittedly 15ish years now... I recently gave up on the MMO I started in HS and through college and have been trying new ones... Holy crap is it toxic now lol... No teaching mechanics, expected to know. No critiques, only instant rage quits with no words on how to be better at a boss or what was done wrong. This holds true in Lost Ark, Sword of Legends Online, etc, etc, etc. So it seems being nice is a really hard thing for a lot of people heh.
I will always refer to Earl Silverman when mentioning male DA victims. After being a victim himself, he opened up Men's Alternative Safe House out of his own home in Toronto. It was the only men's abuse safe house in Canada. He was only given a 1k grant in 2011, and after so much ridicule and harassment, he declared bankruptcy and unfortunately committed suicide the day after selling the house.

Feminists (misandrist types) stormed the place and interrupted the whole thing, and this red haired one started listing problems for women, and when she was told the meeting was for male suicide she started mockingly singing "cry me a river".
It's more that most men who just won't talk about their feelings know that people just don't give a shit. No one cares if a man is struggling. And that is a sad truth. Men who complain and voice their feelings get belittled by men and women both, it is a sad fact.
Not to mention, i've been in past relationships where I confided in my ex's about my feelings and past trauma only to have them throw it back in my face during an argument.

It's not about men lying to themselves, we know we have emotions and that they are just as valid as anyone else's. Problem is that no one else gives a shit. You can be struggling, muddling through life, and I swear this happened to me, my fiance of 7 years cheated on me and the only reason it came out is because I walked in on it. I don't know how long she did that shit with me. And here I am, not doing fine. Hard work hours, fiance of 7 years screwing me over, and having the gal to paint me as the villain. And the only 'friend' I told about it in confidence shared it with other co-workers and I ended up the fucking joke. THAT is why most of us don't like to share our feelings.

Anything less then that makes you seem weak and pathetic and the very same people will 'try to harden you up' by doing shit like that. I pointed out to him that what he did was horrible and he legit felt bad, like he thought we would just laugh at something stupid that happened at my expense and just move on, and to a extent, it made me less mad with him and more depressed thinking that this is the way he and many men feel. That they have no other recourse then just laughing at their own misfortune, bury the pain and keep going.
