You know, I now realise I never seen how The Worst debrief would look like

It's odd to suddenly realize that compared to American cops, the RCM is borderline humanitarian in how they conduct themselves.
It makes me think of how Disco Elysium handles ACAB politics. We get a depiction of cops as people, but the institution of policing itself is treated with the same critique as any other repressive state apparatus in service of capital. So it's definitely not copaganda. Another thing to note is the origins of the RCM, inextricable in history from the Revacholian Commune. This likely explains why RCM leadership is supportive of Le Retour. The depiction of police here is distinctly post-soviet, hence the RCM seeming almost alien at times to those of us in the west. It makes me think of Paul Robeson, a famous African-American musician, actor and civil rights activist who visited the Soviet Union and famously said "In Russia I felt for the first time like a full human being. No color prejudice like in Mississippi, no color prejudice like in Washington. It was the first time I felt like a human being."
I wonder exactly what the Estonian writers of Disco Elysium were trying to say with the RCM. It feels like an unusually nuanced organization for the game, in comparison to the hyperbole we see with Krenel, the Dockworker's Union and of course the Moralintern itself.

I think you should just experience the world outside of USA.
Too much tell for things given in passages of experience. I bet you will feel the same way as Paul did on many parts of the world.

Thats very weird way to look at Russia. I live in Russia and police here far worse then in US, it's highly centrilized and corrupted, there is no sherif institution, people don't vote for police, no autonomy at all, power is as vertical as possible, there a lot more racism then in us, people casually say n and f word, homophobia and transphobia also a default view in russian, there is more police per citizen then in us

None of the factions in DE are hyperbolic. They are represented by people that are at the extremes of their lives, according to the lifestyle espoused by their faction. Krenel are a bunch of hyper-violent Drifters, the Union are a Gang... Everything has some layers, background Story, the works. What you felt weitd about with the RCM was your bias against LE being confronted, nothing more.

In this world though the police are basically vigilantes, plus you only see a handful of them. There are many pieces of dialogue which allude to the types of policing we see in the real world, taking place in Elysium.
If you behave trigger happy, racist, or drunk etc, Kim often remarks that he’s seen your kind too many times before etc
