Loading the ballast car

- Our ballast must be placed at the entrance to the railroad, which is at the top of the hill. This is due to the fact that a dump truck will not clear the overhead wire, which really isnt a problem because we like moving the loads anyway since it gives a prototypical feel to the operation. We move a conveyor over top of the ballast car, then shovel the gravel onto the conveyor which is much easier than trying to shovel it in to the car. After the car is loaded ( it holds about 1.2 tons of rock) we move the conveyor back out of the way and head off to the worksite to dump the rock. The ballast car has 3 air powered doors to allow easy unloading. The conveyor is powered from the overhead electric wire that powers all of the trolley operation. Try not to laugh too hard as Stan trips over the wire that powers the conveyor!!!! More ballasting operation videos to come!

I think that you have something really neat and interesting here. and it looks like alot of fun too
Seems as though the cab of 877 isn't quite flat on the chassis. Might want to look at that. Other things, 656 looks as if the body is off center, and the curved sided car needs to have a full paint job. Besides all that, I love it. Keep up the good work.
challenge, build a steam train, or a steam powered motorcart for this railway
If I get a chance to live this experience, I swear I'll give up on porn.....😂😂👍👍
为什么不直接铲倒车里?
It is much easier to shovel onto the conveyor than up into the car.
What voltage is in the wires?
250 Volt
