Even if it is true, that’s stupid advice to give to someone who doesn’t properly know how to check temp. Could be cooking for their family and kids. No use to act like a pro and get everyone sick. Calm down
Great tips for the beginner gridlers. We have all gone through the cooking eggs at too high of a temperature and all that you talked about on this video. Hopefully this will help the "newbies" of griddle cooking 🙂
The one thing I learned when i got my Blackstone is, they heat up fast, then when the food goes on, it cools down fast. This is where temperature management comes in. Great tips Matt.
Nice tutorial Hussey. I try to cook my bacon on low so I can watch it, when I see bubbles on the top, I flip it (might take a little longer but I don't burn it, like I have done so many times), and my eggs on off and let the residual heat cook the eggs. All from your tutorials. You are the Blackstone griddle man!!!
Great tips Matt, thanks my friend. For a beginner like myself, these tips are priceless. Helps cut down on the learning curve. My magnets are being shipped as we speak. Got my notice this morning. Take care Sir. God bless.

Any suggestions on how to temperature control on a 2 Burner Blackstone? I usually keep one on low or off as a worming station and use the other to cook on. Is this the most practical? I'd like to get a 3 burner. I think a 4 burner would be too much for my wife and I. Good Vid Brother. Be Blessed. 😊 Shawn

To me the most important thing is when you turn on your propane tank, give it a tiny turn and wait about 30 seconds , they give it about half a turn and wait another 30 seconds then you can gradually turn the propane all the way open. If you just turn the propane all the way the flames will barely come out.
You forgot to mention if you have the wind guards or the Dollar Tree bench scrapers as the wind guards, the griddle will hold the heat a little higher, so, yes, always temp your griddle before putting something on it. Especially with the wind guards.
@@thehungryhussey agreed. I have the original 28” griddle with the ceramic griddle top, seasons the same way, but is extremely hot with (dollar tree) wind guards. I’m talking screaming!! Scared the poop outa me when I put a steak on it to sear. Had to do some adjustments.
Mine is the old 28" two burner so it is a little harder to zone. You can but high on one side and low on the other is hard. Bigger would be better. Let me rephrais that. It is two knobs but four burners.
I’m as Italian as they come, but you might want to hold back on the ethnic jokes, ie “Polish faucet”. I like your vids and hate to see you lose viewers.
Actually using your finger webs is acceptable by culinary standards
False.

It's good to get by with, but not indicative of dead money.
@brianmartin7214 You think you're a chef. What you are is a danger to the public.

That's a great point. It's really important to get that preheat down before adding food.

I'm left handed, try using an instant read thermometer with your left hand sometime. I cannot find one for lefties

So very true. I didn't know what was happening at first until l read about it.
yes that is called overpowering the regulator!

Hard to explain everyones scenario really. I don't have wind guards because I have Omnivore top with built in guards.

I see, yeah it's a little bit different with the 28".
Ya you work with what you have lol.
I'm frustrated with the price of propane. A couple of years ago it was $14. Today it is $20.
Dang. I still pay $14 for a fill thankfully.
Are you getting replacement tanks or are you getting refill if you can get refill somewhere like Ace Hardware you can usually get it cheaper
I like my eggs like that
