After Lagers started to take over and become the dominant style in Germany. The people of Cologne fought back with their own beer ‘Kolsch’. They were so proud of this they named it after themselves.‘Kolsch’ literally translates as ‘from Cologne’
This is our nod to their rebellion.
Kolsch is a beer hybrid that is technically an ale but brewed like lager. This allows it to have the best characteristics of them both with balanced fruity aromas with a clean crisp finish.
