I hope you and Katie take every opportunity to spend time with dad. One thing I've learned in 65 years on God's earth, you're building memories that can't be replaced!
I’m curious,,,,, does Marty own any shirts that aren’t red? And Marty is fueled by emotions 😂 I too have a Dad like that. Now that I’m older and he’s 82? I STILL give him a wide berth when he’s on a tear. I laugh, but at a distance 😂 and Andy, your Mom has to be a saint!
His only non-red shirts are what he wears out to eat and to church. His work attire is all red... like a tv wardrobe. My dad has been generous to me and my sisters, but he can be a lot to deal with at times. Working with family is a gift and sometimes a struggle!
I’m a truck driver and I drove a truck that just came back from the shop one night. Drove it over 200 miles before it quit and wouldn’t restart. The shop had plugged the fuel line on that as well. Weird how it ran that long.
Great video Andy, too bad about the break downs, but i guess it comes with territory. Your dad sure reminds me of my grandpa. He was in construction building homes. When things weren't going to plan, he made it his business to let every one know about it. I was just a 18 year old kid, helping grandpa for the summer and if i did some thing the wrong way or not fast enough, i knew about it pretty quick. He was a tough man to work for he was old school taught and you don't get sick and you don't take a day off for a after party head ache. He cut his thumb clean off one day with a circular saw and he just picked it up wrapped it in his handkerchief and put it in his lunchbox, he went to the hospital after work, the doctor's told him they could of saved it and put it back on but he had waited too long.
My dad knows how to keep the wheels spinning and the hammer down. People like him are much rarer in today's age. He is very friendly to everyone, but he can get a little grumpy with myself and the rest of the family at times...just part of it. I'm sure you've got some mostly fond memories of your grandpa!
My agitation as a combine operator for 4 + decades is cart drivers that is not regulars, after 800 acres not knowing how to go go and keep up is angering. Then when corn is rolling I told him things are going to be faster for him, then swear he drops a gear. Thank lord he wasn't with us this year. It all went much smoother. We finished 5 days faster this year over last.
I can certainly understand that. You wouldn't know what to do with a cart driver like me... I only travel in road gear. It's all fun and games until the tractor/cart falls apart!!!
Hi! It would be great love to see an explanation of how the metal cutting blades on the end of the draper corn/head work! Been hoping to see them in action (out of the field) and for one of your great explanations! -Jake from NY
Trippy, Katie's agent needs to renegotiate her acting contract, she has been getting a lot more screen time on RUclips this year. Seems Marty was a little out of sorts when his combine died. Yikes! Oh well, family. Makes life interesting. Keep it between the rows 🚜🌽🌽
I think we could come up with a hose hanger/bracket to reduce the abrasion that the hydraulic lines produce rubbing against one another. The problems in Sunday...yuk
Really fun video, and great to see Katie 🙂 32:30 I looked at the field West of Mattoon on Google maps, and it has holes exactly where the yield is low. Also the treeline is clearly to see, very interesting.
Cut our double crop beans thursday ill just say one field was way to wet, but beat the rain prolly should have waited but they were sub 10bpa deer ravaged
Yes. It is pretty close in beans and about 3-4% high on corn. The S670 is the standard mass flow system. It has some kind of issue that even calibration doesn't fix much.
Yes I would've show some pictures, but it seemed a bit inappropriate. The truck and the gator were both together. They had stolen that gator from the dealership and were out hot riding until the kid ran it into a tree stump. He totaled it. I'm sure it really hurt...
Enjoyed seeing Katie, don't get to see much of her. I personally would like to keep her around, PLEASE remind her to put the safety bar down 20:24 when she or anyone is under the head. That is a video nobody wants to see.

Appreciate that. We try to enjoy everything that we can. It can be a little tough sometimes... 🤣

That drone montage deserves some sort of youtube award, well done sir!!!
That's the only thing that I'm good at 👍🤣
Finally some drone video of harvesting been waiting for this Andy😜

That's almost the same issue! Crazy it ran that long.

Absolutely beautiful shots of the horizon at sunset! Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice JAM!!! On the drone footage!!€!!!

They are actually pretty simple. The sickle moves back and forth like a razor to cut the beans off!
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always!!!!
Thanks as always!

Dad gets grumpy when he has to slow down... 🤣👍
How doing Katy bad day keep good work up 🐂

Hahaha! I feel your pain.
🤣🤣🤣
Great content as always. Keep it coming, catchya at the next one. Stay safe!!
Thanks! Will do!
Ramrod! Marty’s new nickname!!
His brother's have a few similar nicknames for him 🤣

Wow Awesome You made videos,
I watched your full video

Friendship Keep. Nice to meet u also,🌹🌹🌹🌹👌👌👌👌💚💚💚
Thanks for watching!
Thanks
I have driven a 50 ft Draper head down backroads 15 miles very challenging tho smarter to put on header trailer
Did you see one of Larsons farms combines has been doing similar things were just half dies while combining.
I haven't seen that one. Combines always find new and exciting ways to break down!
WELL I CANT HELP IT! 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Really fun video, and great to see Katie 🙂
32:30 I looked at the field West of Mattoon on Google maps, and it has holes exactly where the yield is low. Also the treeline is clearly to see, very interesting.
Wet holes in fields almost always appear in the Google imagery. It effects the crops most years!
Cut our double crop beans thursday ill just say one field was way to wet, but beat the rain prolly should have waited but they were sub 10bpa deer ravaged
How do you like that front shoot mine is a side shoot ?
Can you send a link to that soil shaping service?
This is the program: www.optisurface.com/
You have to do your own surveying and scraping.
You can definitely tail Andy is the low man on the totem pole by a mile
They won't even let me drive a combine!
Katie should have a camera as well . She would do a great job.
She isn't interested. I've asked!
That to bad ,o well you tried
Wondered if you went by the airport to farm any
Oh now we're getting cliffhangers? Jeez Louise....
Don't be dramatic... we hadn't even finished the field.
@@aTrippyFarmer I was excited!
Katie
She's elusive!
Do you guys run activeyield on the 780?
Yes. It is pretty close in beans and about 3-4% high on corn. The S670 is the standard mass flow system. It has some kind of issue that even calibration doesn't fix much.
@@aTrippyFarmer We just got an S760 so I’m new to the activeyield but it’s pretty high, didn’t know if there was anything I could do to get it closer?
@@TKelly4020 there is an offset that you can put in to adjust it down. It isn't crop-dependent, so it affects everything.
That old fuel tank must have been $$$ to keep a decent level in it
Yes!
Well did they catch the guy .

👍
If it doesn’t stop raining in Michigan they won’t get any beat

Lucky you havent smoked the entire fuel system.
Boss's orders!
Looking at this video has eight views, but 1.9 K and likes at the moment? 😊
I think you got some type of a visual bug from another video you watched mine was not showing that
RUclips can be a little glitchy at times!
Enjoyed seeing Katie, don't get to see much of her. I personally would like to keep her around, PLEASE remind her to put the safety bar down 20:24 when she or anyone is under the head. That is a video nobody wants to see.
We are mostly safe... sometimes!
I kept wondering why my account was getting called out.
Haha a perfect coincidence!
20:24 put the safety stop down! And get a shark fin for that draper to prevent that
We might have to look into the shark fins. Katie fights that issue a lot.
@@aTrippyFarmer i like the brush kit alot too. Saves beans and keeps things out better
Ether? 15:59
I thought about it, but no.
why do u guys cut at an angle?
The beans seem to feed better like that
I didn't know gators could could drive
After a few beers, any animals could probably drive!
Your dad doesn't sound like he watches your Channel he probably doesn't like to be talked about the Way You Are
That he isn't very patient? I'm not afraid to tell him that directly...do you think I'm going to hurt his feelings? 🤣
Jersey Mike's is better than Jimmy John's just sayin 🤣
Jimmy John's original store was about 5 miles from the first field in this video.
They both have their moments. Jersey mike's needs a drive through. It's hard for my wife to take both kids inside just to get a sandwich.
I agree warm sandwiches are better any day than cold ones Jersey mikes are warm sandwiches
