If Herobrine did exist, I believe that he wasn’t an enemy or an ally, but an entity that just.. watched you. Doing no harm but leaving strange structures throughout the world. I see a lot of mods and videos displaying him as the final boss of Minecraft but what if he isn’t? What if he really did exist, with the first image of him from 2010, what if that was really him? And once the myth gained traction and everyone was looking for/hunting him.. he vanished. Never to be seen again.

Holy smokes that is a good analogy my friend. I remember I kept trying to find Herobrine back in my old Minecraft worlds and I could not find him. He would not appear. The only way I encountered him was within the dream world. He was not hostile in any of them only in the second and fifth dream he tried to harm me but he didn't for some reason or another. It almost felt like he was trying to communicate with me

I like how I’m this re-telling of your creepypasta stories, there’s somewhat of a running theme. Just like Deadplants, while a lot of the other stories end tragically, the ones with family usually end with clarity and resolve. In Deadplants being a mother wanting to see their child again one final time. And in this, Herobrine only wanting revenge assuming his brother never cares or loved him. With the issue finding resolve in the end. Presumably having Edward possess the game from now on just wanting to live their experience. Even so, it would explain why Notch would add “removed Herobrine” each update, to let him have peace and kill the rumors he still exists. Up until recently of course… But let’s assume Herobrine also left Minecraft after his own departure. It’s honestly reallly sweet. And really really cool, since I grew up with Minecraft and therefor Herobrine was always a special Creepypasta to me. Good job once again VibingLeaf!

I like this depiction of tings like this, like ghosts, spirits, whatever it is, that even if they look horrifying, they’re still people. And sometimes they do just want to talk, no matter how “vengeful” they seem, or are.
    Some people just need care.
Oh, I just came up for a name for this type. “Gentle monsters”. Even if talking is scary things we see in horror films, even if it seems like they are horrible monsters trying to hurt or murder, even if care is just being there for them. Even if they take forms that look, a bit spooky. Even if processing the worst of things happens through dumb jokes.

Apparently Edward know about this and decided to enter into it, after he appeared into a players world to make people know about his existence (the reason is not completely specified but most probably it was for revenge)
Making theories spread. Apparently mark have been hearing or knowledge Edward so he enter an weird world (probably made by Edward) where his brother wanted to give him a “gift”, after that we see herobrines face get off and show what is apparently Edwards head after the accident, shortly notch explains whit his brother letting them to become brothers again. the only part i would say is "bad" is the end when he says "oh trust me it is optional"
not sure why, just makes the ending feel a bit more wrong, but otherwise, this is a story that really made me feel happy in the end and i haven't had that from any other horror story so super amazingly good job!!!

It's kinda tragic for me in a way, but i get what you mean! In my view he spent all those years in a void because he thought his own brother despised him. Having emotional turmoil for ages sounds awful.

Hey VibingLeaf, i don't know if you still check this videos comments, but i recommend to go into depth on the idea of "NULL". Personally that is on par with herobrine. Null in the creepypasta might be a more corrupted state of herobrine or not, but that would be interesting

The ending was beautiful cause you gave a reason why Herobrine is this way
was nice and not only just that the vibe you gave an ending of an era
    A end of Herobrine
Which I know it isn't but that was the vibe you gave and gosh that was very very beautiful nice work

This is a Minecraft fantasy, not a reality, remember Notch doesn't have a brother but in this story,he does and he always did.
Great messages that you leave at the end VibingLeaf, we're always here to watch your creepy pasta vids for inspirations

one thing i would change about herobrine is the "notch's dead brother" part. even if it is just a fictional story, it doesn't feel very fitting. maybe something more like a dead mojang employee?
